Did this simulated mock draft last night. Just like all simulated drafts folks get picks higher or lower so no need to say such and such won't be there, within reason. No trades but took a 3rd, 4th and 5th comp pick.

1. Patrick Surtain CB Alabama
2. Trevon Moehrig S TCU
3. Chazz Surratt LB UNC
3. Marvin Wilson DT Florida State
4. Jabril Cox LB LSU
4. Ronnie Perkins DE Oklahoma
5. Mustafa Johnson DT Colorado
5. Tyler Vrabel OT Boston College
6. Sam Ehlinger QB Texas
7. Michael Carter RB UNC

My goal was to add as much talent to defense as possible. I wanted to add another pick to the secondary but better value was there. I doubled up on LB and DT as I feel those positions need the most help. Got 3 offensive picks at the end but a QB that falls because of injury and has huge upside is a steal in the 6th. Grabbed a potential future starter at OT and a RB that can help out in the 7th.

I had 2 DT in the 3rd I was looking at. Was between Wilson and Levi Onwuzurike from Washington.

I like this. The 1st pick has to be a starter, not a project. Surtain/Farley is a huge need and either is a Day 1 starter
I like both Farley and Surtain. In this mock Farley was gone so I took Surtain. Plus the chemistry that him and Diggs have could be valuable

Love the wilson pick, im eh on surtain he doesnt have good speed IMO which is going to lead to alot of penalties. I think Surtain is what diggs was early in the yr. Problem is surtain plays slower than diggs so i think hed struggle alot. THink theyres a very good shot he ends up in dallas where theyre drafting. Id rather take jaycee horn, he plays fast has ballhawk skills and has attitude where hes gonna be talking to wrs. love that.

I dig both of those guys out of UNC.

Surratt could contribute immediately.
I'm a huge UNC fan and from North Carolina. I'm a little bias but all 5 of those guys from UNC can have an impact......Surratt, Williams, Carter, Brown and Newsome

The dream of an early round safety lives. Not sure Uncle Jerry will see it that way.

Surtain isn't slow but I think his combine will be very important. His technique will help and I think you could use them in matchups to follow receivers instead of staying to 1 side of the field.

I like Horn, just not at 10. More of a trade back guy.

I really like Levi Onwuzurike, only issue is that he's a 3Tech and Dallas has already draft 2 with premium picks, however, Levi is way better than those guys.

Good draft, mostly defense...sprinkle in an OT and a developmental QB, solid.

It was a tough decision cause I like Levi. Thanks for the feedback

I would love the first four picks but I can not believe that Marvin Wilson will fall to the bottom of the third round.Actually I like the draft period

Personally I do not like drafting a player just because he had a good combine and raised his draft status. I believe 3 or 4 years of game tape
means so much more and can tell a different story.
