Whether or not Campbell succeeds in Detroit isn’t the question. It’s more about how long he lasts before he’s fired. :);):rolleyes:

I wasn’t surprised at all in fact I expected it. The Lions have had only 11 winning seasons since 1983. They have one of the worst histories for success in the entire NFL. It’s pretty much the same thing with them every year regardless who their HC is. They’re a terrible organization. Two of the greatest players they ever had Barry Sanders and Calvin Johnson quit on them because they got so fed up with losing.

Campbell is going to have his work cut out for him with Matt Stafford just about done in Detroit. A very productive QB ( king of the garbage yards) but not a winner. Only three playoff appearances for Stafford in 12 seasons with an 0-3 playoff record. His record is 74-90-1.

Pretty dumb hire. They're going to have to go get a young QB, and if that works, the offensive mind who gets them there will be gone by the time they're good.

Just overall dumb.

Judging by his presser it will be more of a clown show than turning around the franchise that has been rebuilding for over 50 years. He may as well hire Greg Williams as his DC.

Doesn't Stafford have 3 years left on his contract. Can't see them parting ways with him, and them selecting a QB. But one never knows about these things.
