Dallas has to get the offseason right this year because nothing worked last year.

Believe we see Dallas finally get a deal done with Dak before they have to tag him. I see Dallas resigning some impending free agents of their own in Aldon Smith DE, Chidobe Awuzie CB, and possibly Xavier Woods if they don't pick up a free agent safety. They will tender their RFAs and ERFAs as normal.

In free agency, as much as I would like them to spend good money on a great free safety, I know as all of you know that just isn't something the Jones are going to do. I will project the following on contract that I believe the Jones will be happy signing.
Malik Hooker FS - loads of potential but has to stay healthy and prove himself
Jason Verrett CB - could be a great corner if he can stay helathy
Sheldon Rankins DT - another potential wrecking ball if he can stay on the field
Haason Reddick DE - may cost a bit more but really fills Quinn needs on defense

I really believe if Mac Jones and couple of other Senior Bowl QBs do well this coming Saturday that as many as 7 QBs will go 1st round and at least 4 in the top 10 if not 5. There are going to be a number of trades and believe Dallas will be in great position for one of those trades.

10. NY Jets - Believe the Jets are going to trade #3 to Carolina and pick up an extra #2, and #1 in 2022 but Jets will want to give Darnold help at WR and OL so they trade #23, #34, #39 and one of their three #1 in 2022 to Dallas for #10, #75 and 3rd in 2022.

Dallas Draft:
#23 Christian Barmore DT Alabama - can play 1 tech or 3 tech, could really see him starting

#34 Jaycee Horn CB South Carolina - 1st round talent but QB movement in 1 will push a few down the board, can play press coverage and man very well and has size Quinn values

#39 Trevon Moehrig FS TCU - another good talent that I see being a 2nd round guy, has the speed, size and ball hawking that Quinn likes, could be a interchangeable part with Hooker

#44 Daviyon Nixon DT Iowa - has great motor, speed, size and can play 3 tech better than any we have currently, reminds some of a poor man's Aaron Donald

#99 Baron Browning LB Ohio St - a depth guy that will get meaningful snaps by taking Lee's spot, could also play some Leo for Quinn

4th reg Walter Little OT Stanford - great size and very good techniques could really be a great backup to starter guy

4th com Tamorrion Terry WR Florida St - has good speed, excellent size and McCarthy will always draft a WR in every draft, just his MO, Terry proved to be a good target but poor QB play hurt his development

5th com Elerson Smith DE Northern Iowa - has a huge upside, high ceiling guy but from a small school, size at 6'7" impressive and has a great motor, probably take some development but worth the pick

6th reg Sam Ehlinger QB Texas - not my choice of a guy but I do think he fits what Dallas would like to see in a backup QB and frankly if Dalton leaves then easily see Ehlinger used in the same manner than Sean Payton uses Hill

6th com Thomas Fletcher LS Alabama - Ladouceur has to retire someday, right?

7th reg TJ Vasher WR Texas Tech - has huge upside but needs to learn on field and off field

Potenial Roster:
QB - Prescott, Gilbert, Ehlinger
RB - Elliott, Pollard, Dowdle
FB - Olonilua
TE - Jarwin, Schultz, McKeon
WR - Cooper, Gallup, Lamb, Wilson, Terry
OT - Smith, Collins, Knight, Steele, Little
OG - Martin, Williams, McGovern
OC - Biadasz, Looney
ST - Zuerlin, Niswander, Fletcher
DE - Lawrence, Gregory, Smith, Anae, Reddick, Smith, (Alexander)
DT - Rankins, Hill, Gallimore, Barmore, Nixon
LB - Smith, Vander Esch, Bernard, Gifford, Browning
CB - Diggs, Horn, Awuzie, Brown, Robinson
S - Hooker, Wilson, Woods, Moehrig

Those are some pretty big assumptions all around.
I'm sorry but I can't see us signing very many outsiders in FA, let alone some of the guys you've listed. We'll be lucky to resign some of our own after Dak's deal.

And, although I agree there could be a few trades in the top of the draft, I think that trade the Jets make with Dallas is highly unlikely and way to complicated to actually happen. If the Jets traded with Carolina, they would be picking at 9 already. So they're going to give up all that draft capitol to pick again at 10? I could easily see them moving back into rd 1 for a good player, but I can't see them giving up all that to get another top 10 pick, not in this draft.

I don't believe Horn will make it to 33. I don't think Moehrig makes it to 39.
And IMO, Barmore and Nixon are basically the same player, for the same position. Not that I'm against investing at DT, but why draft both? With Hill and Galimore already on the roster at the 3T that's a lot of bodies suddenly fighting for basically the same spot inside.

I’m starting to see a pattern of the same handful of players being taken in rounds 1-4 on most mocks on here. We all gonna fall in love with these same few players and lose our minds when we only get one of them this April.

haven’t really looked into day 3 prospects yet but your rounds 1-4 is a dream scenario for most on here, but after listening to Dane Brugler and reading up on thedraftnetwork, 3rd round may be the sweet spot to get a safety. Dane feels many are overrating Moehrig due to desperate want of a safety and would be a reach with our 2nd round pick.

I don’t like your bargain and oft injured FA acquisitions at all but live the draft though it’s unrealistic

give me 2 real starters in FA instead of 4 bathtub players

I’ll take Tomlinson at DT and one of the top 4 FA FAs (Simmons/Maye/Willians/Harris)

then I’ll take your draft

Way too many injury risk players in fa, don't see any DT's that can help against the run. Browning is a late 2nd rd pick, Horn has little chance making past pick 20.

There's no room for Chido, Verrett, and Horn...which is maybe why you left Verrett off the final roster lol.

Good draft, though I think there's little chance it falls that way.
