Truth be told, I still haven’t figured out yet what McCarthy has brought here that’s so unique, ..what stands out about himself ?
- Better Game manager ?
- Extension of help for Kellen moore ? ( per RBs)
- Only things that has helped is Bones Fassel as a special teams, and OL coach Joe Philibin who despite a few IF decisions, did an admirable job with an injury riddle, make shift OL.
- And a decision to keep on Kellen and Doug as front line offensive assistants instead of replacing them with his own.
Not only that, ..but it still seems like it was clearly Kellen’s offense instead of McCarthy’s offense.
- McCarthy’s biggest fail by far is Mike Nolan. When we needed a stand out upgrade over Marinelli, Richard era,.. we ended up having a vet DC that McCarthy personally brought in but who delivered the
The worst (or 2nd worst) defense in Cowboys history,…
I’m one of those that tend to believe Cowboys management is more the responsible for the hiring new DC Dan Quinn than McCarthy himself.
I find it is as a coincidence that one or two Quinn’s new asst. coaches hires happens to be familiars with McCarthy, ..ala Joe Whitt J. .,..Al Harris, Scott Curley, along with Lett and Edwards.
I thought MM being an experienced vet HC with skins on the wall credentials, SB winning resume, and a reputed offensive mind would make out be an legit HC advantage over Garrett..
And a guy that’s an impact factor in in-game adjuster on the move.
