-Wasn't a fan of taking Parsons at 10 due to his position and needing some development. With an additional top 100 pick, Cowboys did a great job. We have to be patient with Parsons as he is still learning the position and needs a little development, especially in coverage. He also needs to grow up and learn how to become a professional on and off the field. Bringing him into the locker room is risky, especially with two of our veteran leaders retiring, but his upside on the field is worth the risk. It's up to him, where he can become the next Devin White or gone after his 1st contract. I like the pick, cause he helps the run defense day 1.

-Who would of though Horn would be the 1st corner off the board in December. You could see the disappointment in Surtain's face when Denver drafted him, think he wanted to join Diggs in Dallas.

-Believe the Giants again blew it. A) think they didn't get enough from the Bears moving 9 spots down. B) they passed on Slater who was the perfect fit for their OL and C) reached on a WR, who was seeing no attention at Florida due to Pitts.

-Washington was the only team to be shutout not getting a QB, not sure why Denver passed. Not afraid of a team with Fitzpatrick running the show.

-There is an issue with Ojulari's knee, don't think he is draftable. Surprised JOK, Jenkins are still available, not surprised that Moehrig, Barmore aren't 1st rd players. I am surprised that not many Tackles were taken and Leatherwood being overdrafted by the Raiders.

As for day 2 goals:

-Give me one of the top three safeties in Moehrig (who might be gone with pick 1 today, Grant or Holland. Fine with Molden if they get shutout. Trade up if you have to, most important position in Quinn's scheme.

-Don't reach for a corner. Let the board come to them at the position.

-Draft a quality DT 1 tech before the day is out.

-Find an Edge rusher

I like Jammin Davis alot, but that pick perplexed me. They need alot of talent on offense, especially at skill positions. There was a very good group of WR's available to them, and it might be wiped when they are up again

Cant remember who, but someone in Dallas media mention a couple weeks ago that if they dont get a CB they might look at Casey Hayward as a 2021 solution

Toney isn't a bad WR but yeah taking him a bit early in a league that is saturated with WR talent was kinda weird. Was a mediocre pick by them.

Regarding Parsons, I think it is best to take a wait and see approach. It is probably not fair to give a final evaluation on him from two years ago as a true Sophomore with not a lot of snaps at LB. The upside is certainly there. Are the instincts?

I think he can be a homerun pick. But if I were to be honest, I think he has a bigger chance of not living up to expectations than either Slater or the two corners.

I do like getting physical players. They still need to find a few on the D-line though.

I actually love the pick. Toney is electric.

Unfortunately for him, Garrett is his OC!!!

I think Wash and NY blew it with their trades...I thought Wash would take a QB, but they stuck it to the Giants. Only to have the Giants pull off a better trade. Both other teams picked a small WR and I’m not really scared of those WRs, but at least the Giants got next years 1st. I think Dallas did better getting a free 3rd and a monster on the defense. I wouldn’t have traded down with Chi because they would miss out on Parsons. Great 1st round.....Another thought, I think Miami wasted their two first on risky players but I could be wrong.

Parsons was the best Defensive player and we got a third. Amazing. Dallas us been fortunate a lot lately in the 1st round.

I think Wash and the Jamin pick is awesome too. Rivera is building a stud D that is going to be scary.

you talking about Philly? I don't think Wash traded with anyone.

Disappointing. I was cool with either Horn or Surtain but when I saw Slater mention Parsons I was hoping that wouldn't happen.

Never liked the kid at Penn State. Brings a lot of the same Jaylon traits people complain about here on a daily basis. We'll see.

We gained some ground yesterday on Washington and the Giants.

I think Giants are going to surprise folks this year. If they can get an OL here in the 2nd...that will go along way.

Could be but I do think they'll need to do better than they did last night. Divisional games are always fun and hard fought.

so 1st round pick based more on metrics than actual football if that is the case this is a risky pick.

Think that was Fisher. Yes, him or Sherman can be signed. Depends who they take, may want a bridge starter if the prospect isn't ready.

Yes, you may even want to go that route anyways, even if you take a guy at 44. CB's have a long curve. Every CB drafted in the 1st round the last 3 years except Ward had a QB rating against of over 100 as a rookie

A player like Melifonwu could start day 1, but having a veteran to help his development could be the best coarse of action. Meli is like a big ball of clay, has all the tools, just needs to learn how to use them.

It would be great to draft a guy like Melinfonwu and then have Sherman to tutor him and the rest of the DBs.
