I’ve seen several posters and pundits saying that opting out is a flag on Parsons. But praise Chase and Sewell.

When a player has few flags, they'll knock them for anything (otherwise, you have nothing to talk about).

I've actually seen some reports flagging both Chase and Sewell for doing that too though; thing is, guys like those and Parsons didn't really have much to prove as they already showed they were top 10 picks.

For Sewell I think it’s because he’s an OLman. Historically they have a much higher hit rate in the first round than any other position. And on top of that, his 2019 was good enough to be a top 10 pick and you wouldnt expect him to be rusty in the way a skill position might be.

as for Chase, it’s probably because of the silly way they define WR prospects. It’s much more about measurable than any other position on the field. 40 time, hand size, arm length, height, weight, 3 cone drill. What is CJ Mosley’s height? Who cares. What is Brandon Graham’s weight? Could be 250, could be 270, could be 280, I don’t even know. But we could rattle off a list of famous Wide outs and get pretty accurate on their height/weight and 40 time, because it’s so important to everyone. And I think that’s a negative to the scouting process. It’s not as much about ability or production as other positions. “Devonta Smith is the first HEISMAN WR since 1991? Yeah but he’s 175 lbs, and Waddle ran a sub-4.3 40, so that means he’s better.” As for Chase, he’s big and fast so its forgiven.

That’s how I see it anyway

I think players that opted out will become more of an issue as we get deeper in the draft.

Think you might be off with that, think LB has the highest hit rate.

This is the second thread where you have posted this article. The article, written by a local TV station where this transpired, has several misspelled words. For a professional outfit, that starts me wondering who is running that circus. That aside, in the local TV industry there is an expression. If it bleeds it leads. This is an article which appeared to be sensationalized for the shock content of a local TV station. Nothing more.

Your actions about this article are just more of the same.

But, more importantly Humphries was a whiner. Parsons was whipping his butt and Humphries pulled a knife. One wonders why Humphries was not immediately kicked off the team for brandishing a deadly weapon. That, sir, is a felony.

Yet Parsons was put on probation for a fist fight. That just speaks to this era when kids can't throw fists and need to resort to weapons. If a gun had been handy, would Humphries shoot Parsons?

Did you see after that in this or any subsequent article that Parsons continued jacking this guy up? No, you didn't. The kid went on to blame three other players and a couple of coaches.

The judge threw out the case twice. In this article he threatened to toss it out again if they didn't file by a Friday - not indicated in the article. Ensuing articles about this indicate the judge tossed this one as well. So this empirical piece of evidence in this article that concerns you seems to not have been enough to sway a judge to continue.

You've been squawking about this team for months on end. Your position on the Dak signing clearly colors anything you say about this management.

This whole affair reminds me of A Few Good Men. There are two differences in that stage play and film and this real life event.

1. Football programs often use a Code Red to get people's minds right.
2. You can't handle the truth.

Yawn.. I had these opinions about Parsons before he was on our team.

Im just consistent and don’t break the Pom poms out because he is wearing my teams laundry.

You've exhibited in your posts for months on end this PMS tantrum about decisions made by this team that don't agree with you agenda. Because they resigned Dak, in your commentary, there is no hope for this team going forward, for at least the next four years.

Now you latch on to this article which doesn't reveal the final outcome is no charges were levied nor law suit upheld. Yet you press this as if the article is salient in this discussion.

It has value only to support your grudge agenda.

IMO it's cause he's still relatively raw at linebacker position.

He played DE in HS before switching to linebacker. IIRC he only started one full year at LB.
His freshman year he started only one game but had 82 tackles.
He blew up his Sp year and then opted out.
Whiles guys like Chase and Sewell had played their respective roles going back to HS.

I don;t really see it as a negative cause his tape so dominating at times. But the fact remains he's still kind of raw as a LB for experience. Don't think it really sets him back

Actually he was a 5-star Running back coming out of high school. He's only played lbs and defense 2yrs.
