I like the roster overall when healthy. I just wish we had a run stopping DT. D-law and the lb ers will have to be super human to stop the run. We may not even get to rush the passer if those young DTs don't step up. I like both especially Neville. He has a chance to be really good as long as he doest take a step back.

So do I. But the Cowboys always seem to find a reason to avoid correcting that issue. But until they build a run stopping DL, this team can forget about the Super Bowl.

They signed a run stopping defensive tackle in free agency.

He tackles, but he's not a tackle that can take on double teams like you need. We needed bohrman , a man sized dt1. A real beast. We haven't had that and that's why we get blown off the ball so bad. F=ma. And that's what bohrman offered in spades. I promise Jimmy Johnson would have snatched him up. Belichick just showed why he's superior by himself over the entire staff of the cowboys

I know you're referring to Urban who was the beneficiary of better players around him in Chicago on their defensive front. He's a guy who will be exposed if we play him starter reps.

Barmore isn't a run-stopping DT either. He barely played on run downs.

I seen his tape, he's exactly what we needed. He was eating up two blockers with ease. If a day can occupy two blockers and not get knocked back. Who even gives a crap if they tackle the ball carrier? This is why teams like Baltimore don't get run over. They command the line of scrimmage.

I'm hoping they grab Marvin Wilson. He demands double teams, is relentless, and an excellent run killer. He needs to work on mixing up his pass rush moves. He accustomed to bull rushing, and getting his way. Even when he doesn't get his way, he's still pushed you 3 yards back from just pure mass, strength, and motor. He can be taught some more moves. He's my pet cat.

If that’s all you want. Shelvin and Tonga are still available.

They signed Urban which is a run stopping DT and drafted Osa who is also a run stopping DT. This notion that 1 tech run stopping DT has to be 6'4 and 380 lbs is just crazy. Osa can easily hit 300 lbs once he is on that NFL weight plan.

This notion that tweener can stop the run has gotten how many winning season with playoff wins? It’s pathetic mediocre fans like you that accept this poo. That’s a “ losers mentality”.

It's just physics. Osa is built like a 3-tech, and has pass rushing skills, length, and big hands, but can also move outside. 20 pounds is the difference between 2 weight classes in boxing, and for good reason. Not to say there isn't some flexibility, and variables here, but you're acting as though it's not an age old formula. Not many guys can be Aaron Donald.

We draft dts to rush the passer and des to stop the run. We pay 20m a year for des to stop the run too
