Yep. This team absolutely hates run stuffing DTs. They love guys who will get pushed around like a ragdoll. Who won't get any pressure in either the run or pass game. Another season of teams gashing us in the run game and QBs having all day to pass. I have no idea why this front office does not value the middle of the defense i.e. DT and safety. We are always at the very bottom of the league in both areas. Which is why we get torched in the playoffs (well, when we sparingly make it). We either have the Rams for 300yds on it with ease or Rodgers torch us.

Quinton Bohanna

Two-gapping nose with good power who is much more likely to become a space-eater than a playmaker. Bohanna can man the nose in even or odd fronts and plays with decent knock-back explosiveness coming off the ball. He will play with average range, but can disrupt blocking schemes with his power penetration from time to time. He's somewhat accurate and quick with his hands, but is fairly easy to reach and work around for zone blockers. He is a relative non-factor as a rusher, so his value will rest in whether or not he can help control the A-gaps. Bohanna is limited, but big and strong and could find work as a rotational nose early in his career.

lmao calm down. Hopefully the dline can keep the linebackers clean. Ask Ray Lewis. Its more about the dline when stopping the run then linebackers. DT's have to do the dirty work to keep the lineman off the linebacker so they can attack the ball. We really didn't do much at dline. Maybe it was the system. We will see.

With Bohanna clogging the middle and Parsons being the top ranked run defending LB in the draft...just maybe we can keep LVE and Jaylon free from blocks which was their biggest problem and allow them to run and make some plays. Plus in Quinn's defense it's less reading and more just knowing what your responsibility is based on alignment which hopefully will help them from guessing wrong and getting tricked by misdirection all the time. Hey, I can dream can't I?

True, I joke but seriously despite the naysayers and the doom and gloomers we have improved on defense. We got a good LB to stop the run, a good CB to cover guys and an adequate, qualified DC to coach em up. I'm excited and I don't think you're dreaming as much as feeling the energy.
Go Cowboys!!!! We are going to be a lot better than last year. Watch, we're going to surprise some people!!!!!

They will be. They’ve been solid before with this cover 3 scheme which requires less read and react. Why would they not get back to that level with more front-7 talent.
