Is that Claiborne?
Now go watch the other 200 videos of him getting open on pick routes.
He gets an award for longevity i suppose, other than that like i said Brady made him look a lot better than he actually was.

i have watched him... from an oft injured rookie who barely made the field, to a guy who made some real dynamic punt returns, to the guy who exploded when DA couldn't get it done... plays hard, made some great catches... Hes the kinda of guy, if he plays for your team, you love...

Maybe instead of telling me I need to watch him, maybe you should actually take your own advice

one of modern progenitors of the dynamic slot position... great, under rated player, author of one of (if not the) greatest Super Bowl catch ... Glad we had him for as long as we did

He’s another Patriot that’s underrated and hated because of the team they played for.

That catch was a gift, the DB undercut his slow rear and should have had a pick.
Dude gets an A+ for longevity but the reality was he couldn't work outside the hash marks like a number 1/2 receiver because he didn't have the physical tools.
Without Brady he would have been just another Smurf receiver.

Smurf receiver? i guess he was kinda on the short side. You want to get caught up with the X Y or Z (or as the pink hats like to call number 1/2 wrs etc)? You go right ahead...

When needed line up outside, he did. On the Inside? In the slot? In the X Y or Z? Bring him inside to block? Damn Straight. And he was effective. Played hard, competed at the highest level. He earned the respect and admiration of his coaches teammates. What more could you ask?

I suppose nothing, do you think he belongs in the HOF?

I knew this question was coming lol...

Logically based on raw numbers? No. But I think that he accomplished enough in the post season where he should at least be nominated so the voters can decide yes or no.

The biggest knock I've heard lately is that he just compiled stats because he was in so many games... Of course... But at the same time, he compiled those stats because he played, dare I say it - yes I will, at a HoF level in the post season...

Do I think he will get in? No I don't. He will get in the Patriots Hall of Fame... And that's ok... The Patriots Red Jacket is better looking than HoF gold jacket ... Lulz

If it were up to me there are several Patriot players worthy of enshrinement who have been overlooked over the years in favor of similar and lesser players... Those guys deserve a fair shot... Unfortunately the New England representative is a horses ***

I don't think Edelman is a HoFer. He was good, very good. He wasn't great. Edelman produced about 1/3 less in receptions, receiving yards and receiving TDs than Wes Welker(deserving of the HoF) in his career.

Wes was a monster while he was in New England

Only drafted because Rick Gosselin recommended him to Belchick.

2nd all-time most yards and catches in NFL playoff history.

Not had after only playing special teams early in his career.

Gotta cool story about Wes Welker, being that we are from the same hometown i have ran into him a couple times several years ago. Around 2000 or so he came out and played in an Adult Flag football league, very quiet unassuming and dressed like a typical Wal Mart shopper{baggy sweatpants etc}. Dude was fairly fast, super quick and extremely cool to talk to.

I've only met and had a chance to converse with one NFL player... Dave Bavaro ... spent the day with Paul Pasqualoni's brother at a BC/Syracuse game in Boston... I sat next to Dave during the game... Asked him who the hardest tackle was... he thought for a minute and said he tried to take down Emmitt Smith once and it was like hitting a concrete wall, that he was all legs and power when he ran...

I can imagine, my only hope to tackle Emmitt would be to grab a leg and hold on.
