Without a doubt we win the division. The crop isn't much to write home about but we are the cream of it. And there's this "no one repeats as NFC East champs thing going on" that should work in our favor :) we will not only win the division handily we will finish on a roll and make quite a bit of noise in the playoffs :flagwave:

Get your popcorn ready:popcorn: it's going to be an extra butter type of season;)

I guess making the playoffs is better than not making the playoffs. Like having 2 dollars instead of 1. But not much more exciting to me. I'm looking for them to be a contender, not the butt end of the playoff list.

Agreed. Making the playoffs and a first round exit would be a disappointment for me. We’ve been on the cusp of relevancy for years. McCarthy is in year 2, you signed your franchise qb, offense is loaded on paper, and you dedicated an entire draft towards your defense. If not now then when?

you have an aging oline, along with an aging RB, Dlaw, etc. I don’t see them being more willing or able to acquire free agents, and you ideally shouldn’t see a top 10 draft pick again for a while. If the cowboys can’t show some real progress this year, I’m just not sure when that happens?

Yeah I hope so too. But to me the most disappointed I've been is when we lose as contenders. But I like that kind of disappointment because it was a great season. Like 2007, 2014, and 2016. The other seasons disappointed me long before they made the playoffs. So the eventual out didn't add to it. It was expected before the coin flip.

Think about it, do you remember the playoff losses in '98, '99, 2003? I didn't. Not until I was looking through past seasons. But I sure as hell remember the one's in '79, '80, '81, '82, and '94. In 20 years 2018 will fade from people's minds as well. It's not a season to remember.

2nd easiest schedule in the entire league,,,
maybe easy on paper team record SOC wise BUT

its when and where you play team that makes it rough, B2B road games one in Tampa then the next on the wests coast, add late in the season 3 straight road games 2 on the road outdoors in cold weather and finish on the road IN Philly January outdoors..add in our typical tough TG game schedules are a brutal stretch.

that difficult the way they made the schedule and as you know just because teams were weak last year, doesnt mean that the one you get this year..SOC is overrated, those are last seasons numbers and just something's for fans to complain about of we lose to jets type team on the road etc and claim it should have been an easy walk through..

so its sketchy at best..

Please, that schedule isn't going to transform into one of the tougher schedules in the league. The point is that schedule is loaded with teams that haven't been good and when the season ends it will be more right than wrong,,, maybe it ends up being the 6th easiest, maybe it ends up being the #1 easiest but it will be a schedule any decent team should blow through and get into the playoffs.

says you!?

opinions are like aholes, we all got'em..

things change teams that missed the playoffs could emerge as contenders at least playoffs..

you dont know its based off last year and last year is over..

this is year to year one off league..just like us for example, we are NOT a 6-10 team! last year 6-10 due to injurys, we were 6-10 with 3rd string roster

facts; those guys come back helathy, we for sure will not play like 6-10 team, got it yet?

this happened to phiily, SF and other teams, the actual starters playing majority of the seasons for those teams make them a lot better..

common sense gets lost here so much..smh:omg:o_O

If they don't win the division, they will be in the Wild Card mix. But I don't see them going deep in the playoffs if they make it.

The defense may be better than last year, But there are still a lot of holes to fill. DT and S are still huge question marks

Winning the NFC East should be a given for the Cowboys. Just making the playoffs isn't good enough.
