If LVE has a good (not great) year, give LVE a new contract but at a reasonable price.

Jaylon Smith is the one who should be cut, along with his way overpriced contract, by season's end. That's where Jabril Cox could fill in.

I didn't think he was all that effective last year even when he was 'healthy' (he was awful right before he hurt himself in game 1. Question:

1) how much of it was the defensive play calling
2) how much was it having Jaylon as your partner often taking the wrong gap
3) how much of it is LVE himself who just isn't as good as he looked in his rookie season?

See Sean Lee....hope he makes it all year, but I severely doubt it.

Great, they really have to talk about him looking good in camp to jinx him into season ending injury before the season starts.

Here's the thing. Let's say he has a good not great year. Do you give him a second contract or do you get Jabril Cox on the field more in a league where you really only have 2 starting LBers?

It's an easy answer for me.
At least we have options now. Time to find out.

Goodbye Jaylen. It's your last year in Dallas. Are there any posters on here even taking up for this guy anymore?

"If" with LVE, but defined with Jaylon. Problem: Film don't lie, it don't show one and then mask the other. Just sayin'

between the media and the jones boys, they will talk up all the starters, and some of the new players , to build
excitement for the coming season, with the fans.
Jerry wants good tv ratings, and the circus filled up for home games.
The media guys and gals want clicks.

Me I will wait and see how they really look in the season games.
Pre season hype on players is always silly and exaggerated.

The only time it was on target, was in 2014, linehan said they were going to run the ball a lot, and they actually did it.

Cut Jaylon Smith. LVE is a pretty good LB when healthy. The problem was the coaches not using LVE incorrectly. Put him back to his original position when he was a rookie.

Cut Jaylon and let Parson's start. End of story.

Stay healthy first and foremost.
No matter what kind of year he has as a Jerry's boy he will get his fat contract!
