It's all about the pressure in the middle against Brady, cowboys don't have that

Not remotely true.

Armstrong got to Brady tonight gets to the passer just about every game. Gregory seems to have neutral zone infractions and roughing the passer issues . Tonight he recovers a fumble I’m happy for him but until DLaw gets any HELP from another DE he’s a double team target weekly .

Swiped and Brady recovered, completed the pass. Not HOF ready.

That's a fair point, however, we did play a conservative Defensive game (acknowledging Brady), Micah played mostly in coverage and i'm sure that he'll become the pressure that'll free up the DE's (and vice versa).

For a number of years our pass rushing Defense (when we've had one)has been based around Tank being double teamed allowing space for others....unfortunately last night he had a real battle with Wirfs, who didnt need help.

Considering who we were playing I thought the D-Line is heading in the right direction (and Micah will be a star).....unfortunately some of the plays in the secondary diminished the overall defensive effort.

Brady is getting the ball out too quickly for Gregory to be a factor. Brady has to be sacked from interior pressure.

Agree, but it's hard to do with our shaky secondary 9and facing Brady)....i'm sure Micah will be increasing his pass rushing in weeks to come.

So true. Those graphics NBC showed where Brady’s getting it out in 1.33 seconds were unreal. Nobody can get to the QB that fast.
that was for throwing motion only , not time from snap to throw.
That means once he decides to throw it is very quickly gone.

Brady gets rid of the ball fast most of the time but not every time. There were times where he stoop in the pocket and he had too much time to throw, like on that AB TD. The Cowboys did not get in his face and move him off his stpo enough tonight.
Meanwhile Veta Vea was feasting on our center and pushing him back into Daks lap.

I can’t recall hearing his name all game.

Some pressure on Brady’s game-winning drive would have been nice.

For defensive analysis you need to watch the whole play develop rather than listening to the commentator who identifies the end result.

.....and Dak still managed to throw a 74.3 QBR. It's nice to have pressure, but unless you rush the QB or get to him it's only a factor.

Defense is a team concept....and we arent going to over commit to pass rushing with our questionable secondary.

Whirfs is the real deal.

Gregory was against Donovan Smith all night, and he's the weaker of the 2 OTs. If we were going to have an advantage going in, I thought it would be Gregory against Smith.

Looked like Lawrence and Whirfs had a great duel all night

I think whirfs was battling Lawrence all night not gregory

Correct....and a decent battle it was. The commentators concentrated on that battle and we heard Tank mentioned a lot more than Gregory, though neither caused immense pressure.

I dont think we wanted to over commit to pressuring Brady who'd just pick off our secondary with his quick release (as showed in the Gronk TD).

Here's who people should be asking about instead of blaming the refs. I asked it all off-season as people just assumed Gregory would be dominant: who do we have if he isn't?

We also got a gift with the face mask penalty, he did not grab the mask, the bucs player grazed it but did not grab or pull it. And what about points should have had before halftime but with our kicker who knows. I thought per this board Greg the leg was the man.
