Never early to be looking ahead and possible contract situations and what our core will look like moving forward.

offensive core moving forward for the next 2-3 seasons or so…

Dak
Biadasz
Lamb
Cooper
Martin

I didn’t put Gallup because at this point there’s no way we could release Cooper just to keep Gallup. Cooper is the much better player and still only 26.Wilson and Brown are both FA after the season.

McGovern? Don’t know he’s a free agent after 2022.

Schultz and Jawrin ? Wish we would’ve waited and signed Schultz instead of Jarwin. It’s going to be tough to re-sign Schultz.

Tyron and Collins are probably both on the decline it would be wise to invest in an OL that could play OG for a season then kick him out to OT.

Defensive Core:

Parsons
Diggs
Wilson
Cox
Gallimore

I actually feel pretty good about this core and I think Gallimore will take a big step toward this season. Odigizuwa also has some good traits and we might actually be really strong at 3 technique for once.

Smith and LVE are pretty much gone after this season and that’s fine as they both simply cannot run. They might be better suited in a 3-4 alignment.Cox is your starter in 2022 in fact I think he could be starting by the end of 2021.

i am confident in Diggs and Wilson both eventually be re-signed it’s a good core to build a secondary around. We need to find another corner can Wright or Joseph push enough to take over?

pass rush - is very concerning moving into 2022. Gregory is a free agent and Lawrence is approaching 30. Armstrong is JAG and a free agent. We have really nothing young and bright here at the moment.

2022 draft needs:

DE
OT
CB
TE
QB
WR

where is zeke in all this? and its hard to tell who will step up this year and develop into a starter. and frankly, this organization doesn't prioritize the way many of us would like. I would just say it starts in the trenches so any lineman on either side of the ball is my priority.

Its not just about who is better. And no Cooper isnt MUCH BETTER than Gallup. Love Cooper, but that 22 million per year salary is a lot. And with Lamb in the fold there is no way we can pay both Cooper and Gallup. Gallup at a reasonable number would have to be considered.

How in God's name can you look to the future and not have DT as one of the top needs?

We have a much larger core then that on defense. Joseph, Wright, Osa, Bohanna, Goldston. Some we havent seen much of, but some we have.

DE I think is the big elephant in the room on defense for me. And we still have a FS issue.

RB is also a HUGE issue a few years down the road. Zeke is gone and Pollard will probably want to go where he can play more.

You're not wrong. Ton of key decisions to be made after this season....

But also a ton of football to be played between now and then which are greatly going to impact those decisions.

Enjoy the season. Games are finally here. Plenty of time for roster stuff afterward.

Why the f are people obsessed with Biadasz? He sucks. Maybe he’ll grow into an average player.

I hope the draft falls the way you have listed needs. My one exception is I'd keep drafting DT. it all happens on the line. I dont know how strong this draft is but we're in a good stretch of drafting

This team desperately needs a consistent difference maker at DT. Nothing makes a QBs life more difficult than a pocket pushed and collapsed from the middle.

Dak
Biadasz (Something tells me he will not be on the team in a year or two). Farniok will probably supplant him at center.
Lamb
Cooper
Martin

Agreed. It looks like Gallup becomes a salary cap casualty.

McGovern? Don’t know he’s a free agent after 2022.

If McGovern will re-sign for moderate pay, he stays.

Schultz and Jawrin ? Wish we would’ve waited and signed Schultz instead of Jarwin. It’s going to be tough to re-sign Schultz.

Jarwin will be a gone.

Tyron and Collins are probably both on the decline it would be wise to invest in an OL that could play OG for a season then kick him out to OT.

OT better be really high on the team needs list. We are going to need a new one sooner rather than later.

Defensive Core:

Parsons
Diggs
Wilson
Cox
Gallimore

Wilson might stick, but only as a low priced after thought.

I actually feel pretty good about this core and I think Gallimore will take a big step toward this season. Odigizuwa also has some good traits and we might actually be really strong at 3 technique for once.

Odigi will make a great 1-2 punch with Gallimore being the lead dog.

Smith and LVE are pretty much gone after this season and that’s fine as they both simply cannot run. They might be better suited in a 3-4 alignment.Cox is your starter in 2022 in fact I think he could be starting by the end of 2021.

I think Jaylon’s contract makes it very difficult for him to remain on the team. This LB group may be a bit hard to predict, because Quinn may end up getting the most out of these guys. LVE might not cost an arm and a leg either.

i am confident in Diggs and Wilson both eventually be re-signed it’s a good core to build a secondary around. We need to find another corner can Wright or Joseph push enough to take over?

Digs is probably a core player. I think the smart money bets against the rapper making it long term. That pick screamed reach. I don’t know what to think of Wright.

pass rush - is very concerning moving into 2022. Gregory is a free agent and Lawrence is approaching 30. Armstrong is JAG and a free agent. We have really nothing young and bright here at the moment.

Gregory will either play cheap or be gone. He is the epitome of unfilled potential.

Looks like the op may have forgotten about him. In all honesty he has been pretty forgettable the past couple seasons
