I think we find out this Sunday if Quinn will make a difference this season. He's gotten some bad breaks, losing DLaw and Gregory. So, will he be creative and find ways to pressure the QB? Will he have a good plan for this game? It's been a long time since we had a creative defensive coordinator who could outsmart the opposing offensive coordinator. Time for Danny boy to show us something. I sure hope he does!

I agree. He had his work cut out for him when he got here 4 guys starting that was not here the year before 2 of them rookies and now will have to rely on other defensive rookie players to step in and help carry the load.

My biggest disappointment from week 1 was how Quinn called the game vs TB. He was uber aggressive in preseason and then when things got tough in week 1, he reverted back to his soft play calling. Let’s see what happens this week.

Well, I think it's fair that you approach Brady differently than any other QB. He usually burns teams who try to blitz him.

Yep. He also burned us without blitzing him.

True he burned us for a TD on a blitz and burned us when we did not blitz, then again Brady tends to do that pretty often which is why most consider him an elite QB and the best in the game today.

On one hand, I think he needs to be very creative and try to put the Chargers on their heels every chance he can get.
On the other hand, he has to coach to his talent and, like Nolan ignored, if the talent can't handle exotic schemes and changes on the fly, then you can only do what you can with what you have.

It's a conundrum and only he (hopefully) has that knowledge.

I think the complexity will increase week by week.

I think Quinn is a good defensive coordinator and ultimately an asset as a DC.

he has still prove he is a good fit for this team and these players. But I liked the hire and still do like the hire.

I'm certain you're correct, but it's only Week 2 with both DE's out of the game so, to quote that wonderful song: Something's gotta give, something's gotta give, something's gotta giiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiive.

I was never really a huge Dan Quinn fan, and really didn’t have any sort of opinion on him one way or the other. Listening to him in his press conferences, I think the way he seems to approaching the task in front of him puts everyone in the best position to succeed.

It seems as though when he focuses on what he knows (defense) he is more successful than as a head coach.

It’s much too soon to know how much impact that he will have in Dallas. I hope for the best, but I am prepared for the worse. It’s kind of the same approach that I have with all things concerning the Cowboys.
