I know this football team better than anybody! Big picture stuff

The 2021 SB has already been played and won by TB. This season's SB won't be played until 2022.

I really want to be on the same page as you but, our defense is going to have to play better to get off the field sometimes. How many times did the Chargers punt today? Zero? Once? Super Bowl teams don't have defenses that play that way and win. Just saying.

I thought the Cowboys were going to win the SB in 2011, so much so I rooted against the Rangers in the WS, because I didn’t want to see the Rangers to bring a chip to the D before the Cowboys did!

that 2011 team had two major anchors weighing it down though: Garrett and Rob(?) Ryan

This team has one as well: Kellen Moore… but this team has a much better overall staff than 2011. So I’m betting the Cowboys can overcome the bum that is Kellen Moore. Let him go PS5 w his kids!

People don’t realize how good that 2011 team should have been! And that was before they got blessed with Laurent Robinson. That 2011 team was stacked!!!! And more importantly: there were no great or near great teams that season. Kinda like this season!

Will history repeat 10 years later? We got double M in charge in 2021!

1999 is also a Cowboys team that was actually better than people realize. Should have won 11 games! Outside shot at title game, Don’t think they would’ve beaten TB though. Tampa beat Washington Commanders (so called big tech kills me!)off a botched gimme FG attempt. I think Tampa would have soundly beat the Cowboys. Styles make fights!

2013: 10 wins. Monty Kiffin prevented this team from making it to the playoffs
2015 w healthy Romo: 9 or 10 wins
2019: 10 wins. Garrett should have gone out the door with Linehan after 2018
2020:10 win team that would have been dangerous for TB and Saints in the playoffs

Teams that weren’t the SB contenders that many believe

2006: many believe had the team made it out of Seattle, the Cowboys were primed to upset Chicago. *Insert Isiah Thomas last dance head shake*.. That Bears team would have murdered that 2006 Cowboys team! Losing in Seattle saved you a beating in Chicago. And I don’t mean a loss!

2007: This team limped to the finish. I think this is the most overrated team in Cowboys history. Everything about it was fluky! New England would’ve been the greatest team ever had the 2007 Cowboys showed up in Phoenix. The right team won!

2009: This is the best team from that decade. It’s just too bad they played the team that should’ve won the SB on its home field. Had Garrett’s offense produced points the way it produced yards, the Cowboys would’ve won 13 games and had home field against the Vikings

The Cowboys defense has improved, yes, but they're still not at a point whereby any SB appearance is assured, just yet. Our weakness in the secondary will continue to haunt this team until a replacement for Anthony Brown has been secured. That should be attended to in the next draft. Our weakness vs. our opponent's passing game must be addressed. More talent at DT and DE would be extremely helpful, as well.

A solution to our injury vulnerability at RT must also be attended to. La'el's inability to remain available isn't doing us any favors. Let's also hope Tyron Smith's health at LT remains intact. I tend to favor our chances of being in the postseason playoffs for a possible Eastern Division title far more than a Super Bowl appearance in 2022.

Absolutely! If the Egals can with a backup quarterback, the sky is the limit for our 'Boys. Any given Sunday.
