Belichick had his defense block off all of Tom Brady’s comfort areas and dared Brady to beat his D in the other areas. It worked well, close game, and Tampa is a much better team than the Pats.

Some of the game changers have gotten this respect such as our own Primetime, but no one has taken the leap yet with Diggs. if Belichick wants to give his rookie QB a more manageable game against a high powered offense, I can see him finding out where Diggs is every play +man/zone and running his plays through that.

I’m excited to see what the master X and O Coach will do to show the league how to beat this high-powered team that has slammed the last 3 opponents.

well, according to some here: there is only one offensive genius mastermind OC; and we got him . If this defense is training against Kellen's offense, then dont worry . about a thing .

 :lmao:

The only time the Cowboys beat Belichick was when he coached the Cleveland Browns. We still had the triplets.

He will make it tough. I'm sure he has plenty of tricks up his sleeve Picks, double moves, screens...

And I'm sure he has an idea or two for Dak

I expect a crowd at the line of scrimmage safeties in run support plenty of blitzing they want Zeke & Pollard neutralized forcing Dak to not have enough time to throw read his progressions. This is where a 2 TE monster will be nice to introduce to NE in running and passing. Sgt Schultz may go off

Does anyone get a service that shows where Dak has been passing all year? I would like to see where his best completions are located.

We're working a lot off where the safeties align, so I would think they'd at least try to make us think they are going to stay deep and then bring them up to play the run. The only team to beat us this year stopped the run (or at least got us not to try it) and let us try to beat them with the pass. I think Belichick would follow that model. Lots of man coverage and bringing the run/pass blitz on early downs.

I'm with you, it will be interesting to see Belichicks strategy.
I think he'll use the football 101 strategy and lean on his run game, try to extend drives while keep our offense on the sideline (as we should). I think that our interior defensive line has yet to be tested but It will be this week and you can bet every team we play from that point will be mimicking what Belichik does, especially if they have any success against us. It's the biggest test for big Mike and Kellen to date IMO.

Belichick will get destroyed just like the Giants.

Yes they will throw at Diggs... On one of the pats' infamous, never called pick plays.

We've been playing a lot of matchup zone. People keep calling it man but its not. You don't see people passing off outside of the occasional cover 2 which all our safeties not named Hooker suck at. I really hope Wilson mends well because he can play deep middle, box, halves, man, and especially robber really well.

Of course the Patriots can rub with crossing routes but that bunch crap they used to use against Marinelli likely won't be as effective.

I think he is going to go the Tampa route. force us into a passing game, knowing Gallup is out.....tampa stopped the run, SD couldn't stop the run, they played zone. both games we made some mental mistakes, so he is going to dare us to pass and he is going to force us to dink and dunk....

on offense, they are going to attack deep passing game...should lead to some sacks for us as they are slower developing, but he knows that's one area of weakness and he is going to explore the middle of the field.

his master genius will keep the game close for 3 quarters...but Dallas will pull away and wear them out in the end.

I hope so. Always hate how they got away with it.

well first off BB is run first heavy 2-3 TE set type offesne the TE will light up our safety's and LBs if we dont know how to cover especially the soft middles i saw against giants..

add in rookies security blanket are RB check downs and TEs..

so i doubt Diggs many opportunity's anyway.. so no....

I think you’re on to it. Extremely conservatIve offense, trying to run on us or a dink and dunk fest. Linebackers will get a heavy test. Not avoiding Diggs but an offensive strategy not aimed at long ball except for the occasional play action. Not trying to play to win, but keep the game close. Very controlled tight reign QB but Mac Jones does see the defense well enough as a rookie to keep that offense rolling with that.

we will win if we limit mistakes cant start like the giants game..better teams almost, ALMOST, always win if you play a clean game and not get cute. play them straight we win

KM and MM leave the bottom of the playbook for bigger games against high end talent where you need to surprise them. ;)

The biggest key will be to get off to a fast start and score a TD or two early. Make NE get out of their comfort zone. They want to run the ball and play action pass and get the TE involved to move the chains. If we can get them down early, they will have to change their plans and we can put Jones in some bad situations.

On D I think we will play a lot more zone than we normally do. Make those pick and rub routes useless and make Jones complete balls into tight windows. Zone is much harder on a young QB than Man is as far as reads and where to go with the ball. Zone forces the QB and WR to be on the same page. I think it will be a tough game, I think we are the better team so we should win but winning in NE is never easy and winning 5 in a row in the NFL is a tough task. We shall see!
