If Dak needs an extra week or two to get healthy do it

The Cowboys would do themselves a huge favor if they need to rest Dak if he's not ready with that "calf strain". There is no need to rush it and put him in a position to deal with it the rest of the year so I would have no problem if he sat out a game or two. The NFC East is a joke and the Cowboys are gonna win the division by X amount of games so having Dak ready to go for the playoffs is going to be a lot more important than the Vikings and Broncos game.

Has there been any more news about his MRI.
Last I seen Stephen was saying they expected good result. we know it is a calf strain, but did the MRI reveal anything more, as to how bad it actually is.

So far all I seen has been post how he will be out. I am not buying that yet.

Just a grade one strain, not serious......If Dallas was playing this week, Dak would be playing

Guys just google Dak's MRI results. They have been out for some time now. No tears, no pulls, no contusions or anything. They are negative, I'm sure he will be fine in two weeks.

He will be ready. My hopes is we jump out on vikings and trash them and get Dak out early.

I can see both sides of this.. I think it boils down to how severe the injury is. If it's serious .. sit him .. If it's minor play him.. As Garrett liked to say, you only get so many of these. Unless there is danger of further injury I will always err on the side of "it's football, everybody's dinged up.. now go play.."

Exactly. If he may just be uncomfortable / sore for a few games, he should play. If there is a semi-legitimate risk it could develop into something more serious, he should rest.

This is the "OMG he hasn't thrown in two weeks, there is NO WAY he is ready for the regular season" all over again.

Let Dak, the medical staff and coaches figure this out. I doubt they are going to risk the Franchise $40 million QB just because they feel like it.

My concern is if he has to sit out more than 2 weeks that means the injury is a lot more serious than originally thought and could pose a problem the rest of the season period. If somebody could guarantee a two or three week sit out would mean he's perfectly fine the rest of the season, then yeah, but don't think you are going to find anyone saying that.

He will play and should. However, we should be checking in with Chicago. Nick Foles only has $2.6 million more salary to be paid out in 2021. Foles is from the Austin area so he would probably like to get back closer to family. We need someone more reliable than Cooper Rush as our backup. Foles would be content as a backup and should be comfortable in an offense like Dallas runs.

He will be ready. He could play this Sunday if necessary. This injury is being WAY overblown.

Nah. I think the coaching staff is gonna flip a coin. Heads, he plays. Tails, he sits. What else can they do? It’s not like they have a bunch of medical experts in-house or anything.

Too early in this to know where he will be in 12 days but Booger should call Owens and borrow his hyperbaric chamber because he used that to get ready for beast mode in the SB and I've never seen anything like that.

No worries, Dak will use his sleep number bed and will rehab in no time. Good to go for the Vikes.

Interesting...no HIPPA rules violation in that? I guess it's a matter of public record?
