1) Kingsley Enagbare DE - Lawrence probably needs to be a cap cut. Cutting him allows us to keep a lot of our other free agents.

2) Jahan Dotson WR (McCarthy has a history with 2nd round WR’s; Cobb, Adams, Nelson, Jennings). Losing Gallup in free agency we need to keep a strength a strength.

3) Tykee Smith S/CB

4a) Corey Durden DT

4b) Kana’i Mauga LB

I have absolutely zero desire to let our best defensive player walk, but I do like Enagbare in the 1st if he’s available.

First of all we just drafted Parsons and he’s not going anywhere. Or were you referring to Gregory?

if cutting Demarcus means we get to keep Gregory, Schultz, Kearse, and Kazee sign me up.

I’m seeing JJ (Kingsley) going to Dallas in pretty much every mock.

Im pretty happy with him or Daxton Hill.

Dotson is just icing on the juggernaut offensive cake.

It makes sense because cutting Lawrence allows us to keep Gregory, Schultz, Kearse, Kazee. Those 4 are key but Neal, Hooker, Wilson, Armstrong, Urban are also FA’s. If we resign Armstrong I take my chances with him, Kingsley and Gholson at SDE.

No…I was referring to Lawrence who has been the most consistent performer on the defense the last few years.

Gregory has 1 quality season of production and has trouble staying in the field.

I think you’re severely undervaluing how expensive guys like Gregory and Schultz will be to keep. Those 2 alone will probably cost 25ish mil per season.

Being the most consistent performer on this D thr last couple of years is like bragging about being the world’s tallest midget. Who cares!!!

I mean, I could care less if it was 4 sacks if he had a ton of pressures, a high pass rush productivity and was racking up run stops.

If you’re only basing his good a DE is off of sack totals I recommend you dig into all the other data out there…it’s 2021 and there is a lot.

Gregory is having his first above average season and you’re already putting him ahead of Lawrence?

Diggs is bottom 5 in the NFL in yards allowed and penalties.

As I said there is so much data out there to evaluate players…using 1 number like sacks or INTs is an awful way to evaluate IMO.

I don’t know about getting rid of Lawrence this off season, but next off season the cap savings will be big. This is the year to draft a pass rusher. There will be some good ones available late in round 1. I really like Dotson and wouldn’t be surprised to see him in the mix in round 2.

Hey I’m all about improving the cap space of this team and overall roster if possible…I just think the talk that we should cut Lawrence because he isn’t a good player is insane.

Id love to draft a DE in the first but we can’t just assume he’s to be good. It’s really, really hard to hit on pass rushers outside the top 15ish.
