Anybody else here eat the cheese?

We were 6 and 10 last year with a one of the worse defenses in team history.

At 6 and 1 we were talking playoff seeding and SBs.

I think we have taken the next step in improving, but we need to put the anointing oil back on the shelf.

It's hard to be patient, but either be that or cynical and broken hearted.

10 and 7 or 11 and 6 and winning the division are my realistic goals now for this team.

Anything else is gravy.

Hope we keep taking baby steps forward.

GO COWBOYS!!!!!

They all ate the cheese. Some were being tentative due to past trauma and others dipped their toe in the waters before being let down yet again so now they're mad as hell and aren't going to take it anymore because we aren't 11-0 and gave them absolute assurance that they were going to be dominant. I'm with you. Let it play out and see where it ends up. This ship can easily turn around and gel by playoff time. Better to get your funk out of the way now.

I think the problem is that the window of opportunity closes so quickly in today's NFL. Teams get off to a hot start and it's natural to think this is the year. Plus with 25 years of futility added to it, makes it even more frustrating for Cowboys fans. The Jones company plan seems very flawed from a championship standpoint. It sure makes them a lot of money.

Like your thinking!
If we go on a run and do something special,
I will be pleasantly surprised.
Won't think it was a given for sure.

People still think it’s a process. You’ll have to excuse them. The old coach made them believe that team building is this long drawn out thing that takes a ton of time to build a winner.

Meanwhile the Champion Bucs spent about a month buying a championship roster last off-season.

Yep concerned with Daks contract relative to the salary cap.
Hope we can afford to surround him with a decent team with talent.

Since you mentioned the Bucs, how did their season go last year? Did they roar out of the gate, establish dominance and then cruise to a Championship? This is why I don't get why fans are so up in arms because we aren't 10-1. They're clearly talented but perhaps the peak is yet to come versus a wire-to-wire dominant performance. Just sounds entitled by some fans.

I expect the Calvary to save the day next week.
I expect Pollard to start next week.
I expect Zeke to sit and get some rest.
I expect Dak to ball out after the 10 day rest.
I expect the Boys to make an end run in December.
I expect the refs to make, wait I'll stop here.

Nope.

Problem is I don’t have faith in my QB like I do Brady.

My QB is back to looking like his old self.

There is only one Tom Brady and the Cowboys never had and will never have a QB like him. Dumb cowboy fans looking at the GOAT and acting like the Cowboys can just get a player like hi mis hilarious

Disagree, Roger was in Bradys category.
If he did not spend 5 years in the Navy and retire young due to concussions, he would be more well known to the current generation of Cowboys fans.

The Cowboys fooled us with some gutsy wins early in the season. But I had a feeling it was not going to last because no team stays hot an entire season. The problem is the teams that get hot late win in the playoffs. Teams that get hot early and stumble into the playoffs are eliminated quickly.

They are getting some players back over the next couple of weeks, including Lamb and Cooper. So maybe that sparks the offense and Dak. But we have to be concerned about Dak and his lack of accuracy and bad decisions the last few weeks. And we also have to be concerned the running game has disappeared.

So Dak won’t ball out at NO? It’ll be the Washington game?

It’s about taking each game one at a time. We actually still have a chance at the one seed because we have a home game against Arizona and have only 1 loss in the NFC overall. It’s time to clinch our playoff spot and beating the Saints gets us to 8-4. The Cowboys appear to be getting healthy real soon. We have a chance to make a run and that is all we can ask.

I have no expectations with Jerry still breathing. After 26 years it should be readily apparent we aren't going to luck into anything.

We haven't won a playoff game in a decade. Is that an unreasonable expectation?

I don't think so. Seems like the older guys eventually fade away. Its to a point where people argue that Michael Jordan isn't the GOAT. Its hard for me to fathom such a discussion from someone who watched him play and is young enough to watch these younger guys play. I don't even think AP gets the respect he deserves and he's still in the league lol.

Yes, getting our players back is huge!
