It was obviously an accidental grab:rolleyes:, but I bet Jerry would be happy to pay $6K to hold teams to FGs.

Give the man his due and call it after him. The refs should not call it a ‘horse tackle’ anymore. The refs and media need to call it the ‘Roy Williams Tackle.’

I agree, that players shouldn't be fined for unnecessary roughness penalties in the course of play unless the act was obviously deliberate or the player has excessive amounts of penalties. Otherwise, it is an inadvertent play that resulted in a penalty which the team gets punished for on the field

I think even he felt bad about the tackle. It was Barkley. I was really glad it didn’t hurt him, dude’s had brutal injury struggles.

I hate that rule. Tackling a guy by the grabbing him under his shoulder pads from behind is not what causes injuries. What causes injuries is guys landing on the back of the legs while bending a guy backwards. You can do that without grabbing the back of the shoulder pads. You see it all the time whenever you see a knee or ankle injury. It is the same as rolling up on a guy.

Like the Witten Rule. Lose your helmet the play automatically is stopped.

To me it looked like it was just the jersey that was grabbed and not the shoulder pads.
