How the Eagles can help us out

Before I get into this post I have disclaimer: I believe the Tampa Bay Bucs will win the game against the Eagles by at least 10 points. I also believe that we have as good a chance as anyone to get to the Super Bowl. In Dak I trust baby!

But can the Eagles pull another miracle and beat Brady in the post-season???? Can we avoid Brady and get another home game????

The Eagles are the strangest playoff team in recent memory in that their best players are not skill position players but offensive linemen. Does anyone fear Hurts throwing the ball? Their best receiver is a skinny rookie better suited to a #2 on a team. Their #2, Reagor, sucks major balls. Watkins is your typical speed #3 guy. It's Smith and a bunch of JAG's.

Miles Sanders is a top ten back--when healthy. Jordan Howard is an excellent short down back--when healthy. Neither are healthy. Midget Boson Scott can't be expected to carry the running game.

Goedart is a tight end that has the occasional dropsies. Ertz has better hands; Goedart is a much better blocker and better at getting YAC, which is why they traded Ertz in the end. He fixes his hands and he is top 5 TE.

So how in the heck are the Eagles going to have a chance and help us out? Let's look at what the Eagles have.

When Sirianni came to Philly he said that the offensive line here was the best he ever saw. According to PFF (yes, it's PFF but they do a decent job breaking things down) LT Mailata and RT Johnson gave up fewer pressures on the QB than games played. Damn impressive. Mailata, Johnson, and rookie Landon Dickerson all graded out at the top or second for drive blocks and run blocking in general. Kelce is one of the highest overall rated OL in the game. Even Nate Herbig, filling in for Brandon Brooks, has been at least average. And Brooks may be back if the Eagles advance. Hurts gets an average of three seconds to throw the ball, the most time in the league.

They wear you down. Malata is 6'8" and plays at 380. The former rugby player is not fat, he's just massive. Dickerson is 6'4" 335, Herbig is 6'6" and 335, Johnson is 6'7" and 325-330. Only Kelce is "small" at 6'3", 300. I was at the last game. Our D-line looked damn near helpless against them the first series. Their stinking scrubs blocked and ran for 149 against us. When they played the Saints, the Saints were #1 against the run and had most of their d-line intact: they were destroyed up front as the Eagles dropped around 250 on the ground against them.

All the skill position players are in the Bucs favor by far. But maybe, just maybe, the Eagles commit an entire game to the run, shorten the ToP, and pull the upset. Will it happen? Probably not. Then again, I didn't think Nick Foles would beat Brady in the Super Bowl.

The Bucs lost to WFT at home, they can lose to the Eagles. Of course it's not likely, but it's not impossible either.
Brady lost twice to the Saints this season as well. I think it's Brady's revenge game for that Superbowl loss to those Egals as it is for Dallas losing that NFC championship game to San Fran.

KARMA WEEKEND!

Well...that game comes on before our game so we will know the outcome before kickoff.

I want the Eagles to get stomped by 50 points

Is that mean of me?

Why should we be afraid to play TB anywhere minus AB and Godwin, while also ensuring GB has a tougher matchup in AZ or LAR?

I'm more worried about the 49ers than I am the Bucs. At this time I think the 49ers are a better team.

I would never root for the Eagles. If the Cowboys belong in the Superbowl then they should be able to beat any team that is put in front of them. I'm don't like the fact that the Eagles even made the playoffs. I want them sent home as quickly as possible and I hope they get beat down like they did against us the 2 times we played them this year. I would love for them to be embarrassed.

In todays NFL almost anything can happen . Just when you think you have it figured out some totally off the wall stuff happens . That said power in the trenches can cover a multitude of sins

It has really been a long time ago but I think back to last Sunday and I was thinking that maybe the Colts were for real. Jacksonville dashed that.

Sometimes teams can't get up for somebody they know they should beat and every underdog is playing their Superbowl. It is the Playoffs.
