I agree, that should never had happen. No running back is worth a 1st round pick in today's league imo
Were you saying this in Zeke's rookie year and after, when he was lighting it up. Problem is the franchise has been poor with picking OL. Tyron should retire, and Zack can't cover for everyone on the line. Pass protection is shaky now and we have an OC that doesn't care about running the ball or placing players (TPollard) in their scheme.

You realize they have the Game Mix channel and you can watch all 8 games at once during the early Sunday games and can watch all games at once during the Sunday late games.
Imagine this. You can watch any game 15 minutes or less. That’s the actual playing time in three hours. 15 minutes. Of offense, and defense. That should tell you how brutal this game is. It’s two hours and 45 minutes just standing around. I think Eli is the best blocking running back in the league. I think he has the best hands of any running back. That makes up a little bit for his lack of patience in the hall. But truly a lot of that is on the offense of line.

Taylor is head and shoulders the best RB in the league this year and nothing Zeke does comes close to making up the gap in talent. That’s just one the obvious one.
Still not sure why people claim Zeke is the best blocking RB. Never have seen objective ratings showing that. Only heard Zeke fans claim it. He is better than Pollard but Mark Ingram has been a better blocking back than Zeke, IMO.

It has been said his entire career. It is a philosophical discussion that has been made numerous times beginning with how people wanted the team to approach the 2016 draft.

In 2022, release Zeke and watch, if KMoore still has the tablet in hand. Not defending Zeke on this, I'm just baffled that there is a complete tale of immunity with our OC. He is outcoached on a recurring basis. His play-calling looks like HS or Big 12, at times. This is the NFL and I think he is over his head. Since he took over, there's been this "plan" to make Dak more than he should be. Dak is more than a game manager, but he ain't a slinging QB that some expect. And imagine, he is getting HC interviews......that is a farce.

You hate Zeke and worship Dak so frankly anything you say about either is worthless.

Of course now we find out that Zeke injured his PCL midway into the season and they stilled played him. Should have put him on IR.

I just went through the full play by play and our only really good drive was the following TD score:

On Dallas first successful drive, they actually RAN THE BALL 7 times and Dak only threw it TWICE. Zeke averaged 5 YPC on two carries, Lamb had a 7 yard carry, Pollard had 4 carries including one 8 yarder and a 5 yarder, a no gain and a 1 yarder.

The short pass to Wilson ended up netting 18 yards, meaning the 49ers were probably playing deeper, which probably means that whole drive 49ers were probably playing more pass.

So when the Cowboys did run the ball systematically, it got Amari open in the slot for a TD.

After the roughing the punter kicker, when Dak looked horrible, the first two plays were Zeke runs and he got a first down on two carries, an 8 YARDER and a 2 YARDER and kept the chains moving. Then the “Cowboys” try throwing three times and Dak throws that awful pick. That was right after he tried throwing that bomb into double coverage that the SF safety should have intercepted.

It's time to let Zeke and Cooper find new pastures to feed in. Actually, there are a few others that could join them. We need lots of players at every position and no money to pay them.

Uh yeah. This has been speculated but Zeke shot you in the face and you haven’t been able to read others comments.

Johnathan Taylor was the 41st pick.

Derrick Henry was 45th.

Zeke was 4th.

Yuck
Place Derrick Henry and Taylor behind our line........and then watch. It's really simple. Did you see the middle of the OL get their manhood taken yesterday?

Not only does he have the loyalty of Jerry himself but he's also the QB's best friend.

Zeke will be your starting RB next year.

Best thing he does now is save Dak's butt from time to time picking up blitzes. Because, that sorry pitiful O-line cannot block a stiff wind. It starts in the trenches boys. Always has.

Henry and Taylor receive the kind of defensive attention Zeke fans believe Zeke gets. They find ways to still get yards despite being stuffed many times due to the attention. They usually make teams pay eventually. Zeke lost that ability very early in his career.
