You cannot feel better about going forward

You can't.

1) Jerry is still calling the shots

2) McCarthy likely will survive as Jerry struggles at admitting mistakes this early

3) They have some bad contracts on the books, namely Zeke and Dak.

4) Want to fix the roster? Good luck, the Cowboys are $13 million OVER THE CAP so restructures and cuts will be just to get into cap compliance. They will have to really penny pinch in FA this year. There are a lot of guys people thought could help that are going to walk - Kearse, Gallup, etc.

At the end of day, it seems we can only tinker. So I hope that tinkering fixes the interior OL. Biadasz and Williams were terrible. Maybe Moore takes a job and we can kind of purge the offense and start over. They'll have to nail 2-3 of their draft picks with guys who can make immediate impacts.

That seems to be the extent of what we can/will do. Probably enough to be in contention for the NFCE again next year but success beyond that?

The division looks to be the sky for the next few years as long as the other three don’t get a QB. Russ to NY will be interesting to watch. Will Philly try for Russ or Watson? What about Washington, will they stick with Heinicke? The most important factor in our favor is that this division is filled with either dysfunction or bad rosters from top to bottom.

It was a sobering loss. Really put things into perspective.

I had these grand plans to attend away games at Nashville or at Jacksonville next season, possibly both. Love both of those cities. Now, I'm just going to probably watch at home and save my time and money. Only idiots invest in crappy products.

The miserables are in their euphoria right now. All is right in the world with them!

1. Jerry is not the problem
2. We will see
3. Zeke needs to be cut, worthless. Dak set records this year and led us to the division in spite of a totally ineffective Zeke. BAD game yesterday but it can be fixed.
4. You guys said the same thing going into this year, particularly about our defense. LOL.

Just go watch another team if there is no hope here.

The results won’t change anytime soon.

Expect mediocrity.

25 years has proven that to be true.

That’s a long track record.

LOL. Jerry is not the problem?

He's the guy who picks the players. He built the roster. He hired the coaches. Since the SB runs of the 90s, Jerry has had complete control over the direction of the franchise. No one else makes the decisions. Hundreds of different players over the years, half a dozen HCs, dozens of assistants............. the only constant? Jerry. How in the world does one conclude that Jerry isn't a problem?

You can't cut Zeke at this point unless you make him a June 1 cut, even then it saves you zero on the cap. You are stuck with him most likely for another year. Another brilliant Jerry contract where he let emotion get in the way of sound football analysis. Oh wait, you just said Jerry isn't the problem. Nevermind.

They largely got lucky this offseason with their FA signings. They turned a couple of guys into nice players like Kearse. But now they might not even be able to resign someone like Kearse. It also ignores the fact that last year was the first real year their FA strategy worked. Previous years, they ended up with just a bunch of JAGs and drek. They also had WAY MORE cap space this year than they do heading into the 2022 offseason.

I'll give you guys credit. The team keeps spitting the bit in basically the same fashion season after season and you guys keep thinking that next year it will be different. Bless your hearts.

Sure I can feel better, depending on if/what changes get made.

I said it earlier, I'll say it again, if you truly think this team can't get better under Jerry, then why watch the games or even post on here? If that's the case, then the team is doomed and we already know the results of next season.

Offense needs to be reimagined. Dak can’t run this offense well enough and the line is gonna take years to fix.
The line and Dak would look light years better with a rb that isn't on crutches.

Anyone who can't see that...isn't looking.

It took 26 straight seasons of failure to put things into perspective for you?

The only thing we can do is try to change the offense. We don’t have to worry about cap for coaches. I would bring in Fangio too. Quinn isn’t going to stay. No way Jose. We have to get more disciplined on offense. It’s the main problem.

I was thinking earlier, what if Arod wants to be in NY? Washington offers the brinks for Watson, and then Philly has more than enough Ammo for Wilson. Would be one bonkers division

Because one can still hope we get lucky.

That's basically their strategy at this point. Let's hope we get lucky.

Our roster isn't the problem.

Both of our coordinators are the hottest names in the coaching ranks right now...although boy wonder is a JOKE imo.

Never liked the McCarthy hire, so that is on him. I will see if he fixes it or not.

I understand the cap issues with Zeke...but he needs to go period. Pollard(our most explosive player) getting 6 touches in that game yesterday is inexcusable.

"Lucky" in FA. No, they knew exactly what they wanted and a guy like Jayron was targeted for his skillset. They also got both of the safeties everyone was bellyaching over and got them really cheap. The geniuses here would have thrown the farm at them.

Stop. The interior OL blocking of Willliams and Biadasz is just poor. Changing TBs isn't going to make that different.

The Cowboys need a new OL coach and they need to overhaul the OC and LG spots, at a minimum.

This isn't blackjack. Luck doesn't get your to the SB. You have to play the games and beat great teams.
