A bunch of their writers were asked for their way too early picks for next year's Super Bowl and 3 of the 12 have the Cowboys in it but none have them winning it.

Tristan H. Cockcroft, fantasy football writer: Bills over Cowboys. What?! The Cowboys in the Super Bowl?! Consider it more the product of a wide-open NFC in my estimation -- though an Aaron Rodgers-led Packers team would remain tough to bet against -- but it's the Bills who stand out as one of the game's most balanced overall teams, with a quarterback in Josh Allen who is an absolute superstar.

Jason Reid, senior NFL writer, The Undefeated: Chiefs over Cowboys. After stewing all offseason about the Chiefs' stunning second-half collapse in the AFC Championship Game, Patrick Mahomes will return better than ever. Just like they rebuilt their offensive line last offseason, the Chiefs will move to add pass-rushers this spring. Wide receiver Mecole Hardman will finally take a big step forward to help future Hall of Famers Travis Kelce and Tyreek Hill. For Dallas, Dak Prescott will lead a dominating offense. On defense, linebacker Micah Parsons will be second to none in the game while taking charge of a top-five unit.

Mike Tannenbaum, NFL front-office insider: Chiefs over Cowboys. Patrick Mahomes remains the best player on the planet. The Cowboys will finally get over the hump by correcting their biggest problem -- discipline -- and dramatically cut down on penalties (they led the league in 2021). Continuity will serve Dak Prescott well, and the Cowboys will be in the top five in the league in offense and defense.

It's a league of parity and staying healthy means everything. I would agree the NFC could be wide open - Bucs won't have Brady, Pack might not have Rodgers/Adams, Rams will lose some of their starters, Cards and Murray are on thin ice, can Lance lead the Niners, etc.

I wish I could have confidence that we can bury the ghosts of the last 27 years, but I'm a Cowboys fan who has seen too much.

Anyone pick a team that didn't make the playoffs? More often than not, a team that didn't make the playoffs the year before is in the next year's super bowl.

I get the logic that the Packers are going to have to rebuild (whether they want to or not), something is wrong in Arizona, the 49ers are starting a young QB, and the rest of the NFC is bad, but the Rams are still going to be the favorite. Maybe last week you could give the Cowboys an outside chance of reaching the NFC Title game but with the Rams seemingly on board running it back the NFC itself seems to be the Rams to lose and even though the Cardinals have problems they are a much better team that will also be able to bring its roster back. So at best they are 3rd in odds to rep the NFC right now in my eyes and that is still assuming a lot goes their way.

People keep talking about Packers and Rogers but uh..... they've choked for the last 11 years. While the cowboys have choked for the last 26 years they arent always one of the fav's if ever

Cowboys should be ranked in the bottom six of teams likely to win a Super Bowl. The evidence is against it at this point. They just do not know how to win when it means something big. Sure, every once in a while, they beat a team they are not supposed to beat in the regular season. It means nothing. The biggest thing the Cowboys don't have on their side, besides consistency, is luck. This team is bad luck.

Pulease! Picking the Cowboys is merely an appeal to the many Cowboys fans and the equally many Cowboys haters. They know good and well the Cowboys aren't sniffing the Super Bowl any time soon. But who cares if you pick the Minnesota Vikings, the Arizona Cardinals or the Philadelphia Eagles for the Super Bowl?

The Cowboys will generate the most feedback and the most eyeballs.

The only way this team and its fans will see the Super Bowl is either on television on through Ticketmaster.

With the Big 3 at GM, HC and QB that the Cowboys have I honestly don't understand how they are not the SB favorites every year.

Dream Trio.

The interesting part is how the nfc curse plays out…..us being good again would potentially winning the division two years straight, a feat that hasn’t been done in forever. I’m guessing next season is a dumpster fire for us and MM will be gone afterwards. We missed another window.
