I was watching a draft chat with Helman and Cavanaugh last night, they both said this is the most frustrated they’ve seen Cowboys fans in their time covering the team. That something feels different about the mood of the fanbase right now. Do you agree?

I agree 100%

The Cooper/Gallup situation seems extremely hated by majority of fan base.

The Schultz tag is the same

Potential of losing both Tank and Gregory is gonna make fans heads explode.

I whole heartedly agree.

We were a playoff team that won 12 games last season.

They have done nothing / rumors saying they will do nothing to improve. You’re losing Cooper and Lawrence, which is fine barring their contracts. But we have no action to replace these guys.

You have a tier 2 QB who is between 8-14 in the league. He had a decent year, not great and was trending down last season.

Now you’re telling me he’s likely losing Cooper, Gallup, Wilson and Turner. Schultz is solid but he and Lamb cannot carry the team.

You also just cannot build an entire team through the draft and hope all 7 picks can start week one.

So yes. Not all of us are doom and gloom. But I see zero reason for ANY fan to be optimistic about the season pre free agency and pre draft. A lot can change by April … but I’m not counting on much change. Just more selling how Will McClay nailed all 7 picks and the future is bright

:laugh:I said this two months ago. The collective fanbase are tired of what they are selling. You could see it on the faces in the stadium in the playoff loss. They will find it difficult to sell anything this off-season.
I mean what they are selling is crap.

The Packers had a worse cap situation than us, didn’t cut ANY star players. Resigned Rodgers for $200 mill, franchised Adams for $20 million and are talking extension with Jair’s Alexander who will command elite money over $18 a year.

Then they tell us they cannot afford guys like Wilson, Anger etc?? Come on now

I’m not upset about losing players that haven’t really gotten us very far anyway. I’m upset that the same clowns are in charge of this ship and they keep doing the same things over and over and over and somehow expecting a different result. THE PLAYERS AREN’T THE PROBLEM.

I’m having a real issue with this Cooper cut. $20 million is a lot. But you have a WR that forces the defense to focus on helping out your other WRs and TE. You also have a QB that doesn’t throw WR’s open and you’re going to cut maybe the best route running WR in football. And have nothing to show for that $20 million saved except resign some of your own free agents, all of whom are less talented and less impactful as Cooper. So yeah, go F yourself Jerry and Stephen. This is ridiculous.

Agree 1000%........We as fans thought ALL boxes were finally checked for a serious run at a min NFCCG and to lose the first round AT HOME committed 14 penalties. For me, it's close to being the most disappointing loss in 30+ years.

Agree with Cooper/Gallup and Shultz issues but I think the majority of the fan base would not mind if the Cowboys moved on from one of Gregory/DLaw.

Because the pack has a competent front office not awash in nepotism. Many nfl teams with bad or worse cap space than us always seem to find a way to make good FA signings with a long and short term plan. Under the same cap rules we have. Our FO is not very good at managing the cap.

If you look at how we felt at midseason last year and then watch Jerry Kneecap, but keep, the head coach, my expectations for 22 are not good. I see it as a wasted year of careers, under the most obvious lame duck coach of all time...

The organization doesn't deserve any trust or goodwill. That's fair given what we have seen over an extended period of time.

However, it does crack me up that this board was filled with people who supported these signings but now say management is horrible for giving out those deals.

I am not as enthused and excited as I have been in previous years. the Jones' totally screwed things up.

I think the fanbase has ultimately realized that every decision ownership makes is going to be bad. They do the same things over and over hoping for different results. Like Einstein said, it is the definition of lunacy. A lot of people have known it for a long time but I think it has finally hit critical mass with the overall fanbase. You can kind of sense it in general.

Team culture is toxic. It’s been this way for decades. It’s not a new development, but the cheerleader voyeurism fiasco makes it undeniable in a way that can’t be whitewashed. Throw in the impending release of Amari Cooper, which is a terrible decision, and you start to wonder why we bother.

You wait months for football season only to watch a team that can’t win with or without talent.
