It’s what fans call any player who isn’t an all pro
That’s why they are fans and not GM’s

There is a concept in sabermetrics of a replacement level player. IE the best free agent talent level on the market after rosters are set.

The notion is to acquire talent that is better than the replacement level and stack it most efficiently. In that context, a JAG is a marginal player or the bubble guys come cut down time.

The way it is used in practice around here is usually a player the poster thinks that would be easy to replace. Most of the time they have zero notion of the scarcity if NFL talent. Push them for a more nuanced explanation and you will quickly find the analysis to be hollow.

Gosh damn why so many big words, too early for this lol
