Seen him pulverize one play then check out the next. Kids I know played on this Tulsa team - when he recognized assignments, tuff to beat......its just the "other" that is the bad part
On tape who looks like he would be a dominant left guard. I don’t know if he could eventually be a left tackle though.

73. T TYLER SMITH, TULSA
Smith's run-blocking tape is a sight to behold. Neal nor Ekwonu led the FBS in big-time blocks last season, as it was Smith. He likely ends up at guard and is a work in progress as a pass protector, but you can't teach his power.

Trade down to between 28-30, pick up 2nd/3rd, still draft him.

I like this pick a lot, such a nasty finisher.

Smith is better option at LG than anyone on current Cowboys roster.

And his upside is higher than either Green or Zion because he could eventually move to OT.

I see huge bust potential here.

Yup.......has boom or bust written all over him. If he came here.....it's bust.....because Philbon sucks.......and we have ZERO patience when it comes to developing a guy. Hell....they are ready to run Biadasz out of town.

Spot on, if we were left with Kiper's draft (and we are going O-Line), unless we had one of them much higher on our boards why wouldn't we trade down as there would be: Johnson, Smith, Kinnard, Salyer and even Faalele available all could be plug and play at LG and have potential flex upside.
I'm with you, the value is in that late 1st early 2nd round.

Project year one, but wild potential if we move him to guard.

24. Dallas Cowboys — Tyler Smith T/G Tulsa
The Cowboys will look different in 2022, with Amari Cooper, Connor Williams, Cedrick Wilson and La'el Collins among the notable departures. That doesn't necessarily mean they'll be worse, but they do have to plug a couple of holes. I'm not sure an edge rusher makes sense if this is the way the board shakes out -- could Dallas take a flyer on David Ojabo, who tore his Achilles at his pro day last week? -- but there are a couple of offensive linemen who could play immediately. And with Tyron Smith and Zack Martin both over 30, the Cowboys should reprioritize the line.

Smith could play guard or tackle, and in this scenario he'd slide in to Williams' left guard spot. Zion Johnson is the other possibility, and he could even play some center.

25. Buffalo Bills — Jahan Dotson WR Penn St.
26. Tennessee Titans — Zion Johnson G/C Boston College
27. Tampa Bay Buccaneers — Breece Hall RB Iowa St.
28. Green Bay Packers — Treylon Burks WR Arkansas
29. Miami Dolphins (San Francisco) — Nakobe Dean ILB Georgia
30. Kansas City Chiefs — George Karlaftis DE Purdue

31. Cincinnati Bengals — Travis Jones DT Connecticut
32. Detroit Lions (L.A. Rams) — Matt Corral QB Mississippi

They aren't going to reach with these 4 bolded players still on the board.

He seems to have similar scout report to Collins when he came out.

He seems to have similar scout report to Collins when he came out.
Except he is reportedly very intelligent.

Collins was the dumbest player on the roster after they released Jaylon Smith.

Gregory wasn't dumb. He was just a mental midget emotionally. The mentality of a 13 year old girl obsessed with boy bands.
