I like them leaking this....means teams will think they can call them to trade down and will initiate the discussion...when they find how stingy Jerry is going to be they probably will realize how they aren't actually desperate

Jerry isn't stingy when it comes to draft picks. Countless examples on record.

Not to mention, Jerry's been around long enough everyone knows how he plays the game. Nobody believes his BS anymore.

I'm ok with a trade up, generally speaking. But I don't like the top talent in this draft

And I hate hate hate the idea of potentially giving up future picks

A second alone should be enough. Definitely not a 3 next year. Maybe a late round pick.
Yes
This years' 1st and 2nd and maybe one of our late 5ths

Better be a great player for all of that

Use up all our 4th round down picks. If that’s what we’re looking at doing to trade up for another elite level player I’m more than happy too.

I’m hearing many teams are looking to trade down so the supply is there to move up and not so much demand to do so. Could work in our favour.

Kayvon Thibodeaux, I keep seeing rumors that if he somehow slips seahawks at 9 then Dallas may try to move up and get him. How much truth there is to that?, who knows. That is why they are rumors
love this rumor, hope it happens this player will put us over the top on defense.

Good lord, why do we keep thinking that anything Fish posts actually happens? How many false alarms do you need until you realize that throwing 50 things against the wall and having 1 stick doesn't make you a prognosticator?

He's always posting this sensationalism and when it doesn't pan out, on to the next.

It Fish, so this is strictly FWIW

With only 14 1st round grades, it makes some sense in that regard.

But given there's a lot of good value in the 35-70 range, a trade down seems almost more likely.
Could end up with 3 or even 4 players in that range with a couple of trades.

Trading up for the OL is plain stupid. Plenty will be available at 24 to plug hole at G with a quality add that is better than Williams.

Trading up would only make sense if it is for someone on the defensive side of the ball (Thibadeaux, Stingley, Floyd or Davis). All of which can potentially go in the first 15 picks.

Trade up can make sense for a WR as well, but I would put that further down the priority list because I also think you can compliment your WR core with a free agent on a low cost deal (Hilton comes to mind).

So unless they are trading up to continue to add to their D. I think nothing else makes sense. Personally I would be trading back to accumulate more picks, potentially in 1st round of next years draft. Trade out of 24 to get another 2nd and 4th this year along with a 1st next season.

Use extra draft capital to draft 3-4 players within the first 4 rounds of draft this year that become instant contributors to your team.
