OL, WR and DE. We let Collins, Cooper and Gregory walk and could have easily afforded them. Imagine if we kept them how we would feel going into this draft tomorrow with the expectation of adding to our team from last year.

DLaw, Dante Fowler Jr., Armstrong, Golsten, I don't think Cowboys are going DE. I've been wrong
a lot but I don't think so.

Interior Oline glaring need.
TE need.
Free Safety need.
Corner need.

Wideout maybe.
Interior Dline maybe.

LB don't think so as much as all yall love Jabril Cox.

You can get a WR who can help you anywhere in the draft. If you want a legit OL or DL it has to be early.

I am hoping that one or the other lines up as BPA when we are on the clock.

Agreed. We need trenches early and often. This WR class is deep and can wait.

WR lost 3 added 1
OC needs to be upgraded
OG Biggest need
OT Tryon dropped off a lot last year
RB Zeke and Pollard's last year?
LB lost one, Can't count on Cox coming off injury
DE/Edge Too deep draft class not to get one you can't have enough pass rushers
DT We were terrible against the run last year
S Lost one Hooker is injury prone
CB Will Joseph be available?

Lewis and Anthony Brown are both back correct ? Then you have Wright taken fairly high last draft , a DQ pick and a project let’s see what he’s got . And of course Diggs and his 11 interceptions which in today’s game sounds enormous . Last but not least Joseph a # 2 pick who has a huge cloud in Roger G is a suspension coming ? I just don’t see a corner as a “ need “ when the OLine and Wide receiver are in direct line of help to a 140’million investment in QB play .

As far as TE yes Schultz got the franchise tag lots of money but the guy gets open stretches the chains and shows up every week . Really glad to see him back . As far as depth I want McKeon back competing for playing time and I’m sure a Eubanks type who impressed me in pre season last year can be had late in the draft ( three 5th rounders are in the shopping cart ) I’m not thinking tight end until late or UDFA list .

I think the team is looking to replace Schultz with a rookie contract. There's a reason they haven't extended him yet; they're waiting till after the draft to see if they can get a younger version of him, cheaper

I'd expect one in the first four rounds.

I forgot TE. There was a statistic that basically showed the Cowboys offense was most effective in the 12 personnel group.

We have to improve along the trenches if we want to have any playoff success. Period.

Needs:
LG is the biggest need
LB -- only because LVE didn't cut it and Cox hasn't proven it.
OT -- Smith is getting long in the tooth
TE -- Schultz is only guaranteed one year
DT -- still can't stop the run
DE -- how are they going to get pressure

IMPACT:
DT -- 1T that demands a double could take this defense up a level
TE -- the right one could actually improve both the running and passing game on O
LB -- the right guy lets Parsons be a swiss army knife that does everything.
WR -- not sure there are enough passes to go around when your #1 is CD, #2 is Gallup, #3 is JWashington #4 Straight line speed guy - Simi, #5 Red Zone specialist is Vasher. But the right one can always bring impact.
OL -- solidifying the OL always impacts the game
DE-- get the right player and a DE can always impact a game.

I prefer Impact over needs, but feel you need a balance of both........hence my hope that BPA @1T/LG or LG/1T is the first couple of rounds and LB/TE or TE/LB should be the next couple.
Anything after the 4th round is just trying to find players that could develop into good starters or have dropped for whatever reason.

La'el and Steele are both RTs. Keeping La'el didn't really help with the future replacement for Tyron.
- Steele was actually as good as La'el at RT. La'el had a lazy streak and missed many 2nd level blocks in the run game.

Fowler is on par with Gregory as a pass rusher. They liked Gregory because he was also good against the run.
- Armstrong is good against the run. The combo of Fowler on passing downs and Armstrong on run downs replaces Gregory.

Cooper is definitely a loss for 2022; however, they needed an eventual replacement for him anyway.
- The biggest issue is the return date for Gallup.
- They wanted CeeDee to move to Cooper's X receiver position.

Yes, all 3 starting CBs are returning.

Wright was one of the 'stars' of training camp last year.

KJ didn't miss any of the recent OTAs and he was terrific in his 1st NFL start. He gave up -2 yards receiving in that game and zero receptions beyond the line of scrimmage.

Definitely. They would have extended him if they really wanted to keep him.
- It would have cut his 2022 cap in in half to extend him.

I would put DT over DE … , we need a pocket collapser who can stop the push in run game also.
