CBS Sports (Pete Prisco Grades)

24. Cowboys: Tyler Smith, OT, Tulsa

Grade: A

This is one of my favorite picks in this draft. This kid is a mauler who will help them at right tackle right away. He needs a little help in pass protection, but the Cowboys will coach him up. Teams loved him more than analysts and his tape showed you why. This is a really good pick.

56. Cowboys: Sam Williams, EDGE, Mississippi

Grade: A-

Heaviest hands in the draft at EDGE. Serious bull rush too. Needs to use a hands a bit more frequently. Thick. Burst is good but doesn't play to the long speed he showcased at the combine. Some off-field concerns. Fills a need.

88. Cowboys: Jalen Tolbert, WR, South Alabama

Grade: B-

Older prospect who's a fun vertical threat because of his ball-tracking ability and deceptive speed. Quality, not spectacular routes and not a major YAC weapon. Feels like a good complementary type and that's what he'll be asked to be in Dallas.

i feel Like Tolbert can be better than that with better QB play ,very good hand catcher and has many gears to his game.
So then let’s trade him to a team with a qb. Seriously though on a side note starting to here Jerry and Stephen stole this draft, Williams was their number 17th rated player on their board and Tolbert was 22.

I like Tolbert but really wanted ILB Leo Chenal.

Cowboys need to keep adding speed off the edge and some BEEF in the middle in round 5.

That’s one thing, but he’s totally wrong about ‘right tackle’.
I think they graded him as a guard instead of tackle. Much like they graded Frederick as a center while everyone else was grading him as a gaurd!

My prayers were answered with multiple OL picks. Here's to hoping that they turn out to be great!! On paper we knocked it out of the park in my opinion. I don't know how tougher it made our team. Our 11 picks from last year all made the team. We made 9 picks this year. Let's see how many stick from the two classes when games start this fall. Monitoring these last two draft classes will be fun starting with the upcoming workouts. Can't wait.

And he'll get better QB play with improved offensive line play. So the pick of Smith will directly help the development of Tolbert.

Well tolbert is going to like Dallas considering he now has the 7th best QB on the planet throwing him the ball.

Dak will not have any excuses. He'll have an improved offensive line and an improved defense. This year we will really see if he was injured or if he can't read defenses. Same thing with Moore. No more excuses.

The Cowboys were #1 in scoring and #1 in yards last year, so Dak doesnt have to explain anything. He also broke the franchise record for passing TD's. Reading defenses thing is just what trolls say because they cant think anything smart to say.

As long as the line can block, Dak will tear up the NFL like he always does when the line blocks.

If the line goes in the toilet again, the offense will be inconsistent like most offenses are that have poor blocking.

Moore I have lost some confidence in. It really looked like he lost steam 2nd half of the year. But again, if the line blocks they can make Garrett look good at times.

So far CBS sports has graded the Cowboys doing a good job with their picks.
