Mental Illness is an unstoppable disease. Ironically, The Judds are to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame tomorrow, Sunday May 1st..

Just saw this on my Bing news feed. So sad.

The article went on to say that they were supposed to be inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame tomorrow. They were set to announce a Fall arena tour, their first tour in over a decade.

There is no substitute for Mental Health. Whether you're poor, or rich, or somewhere in between...

It looks like it. It's a shame when mental illness gets so bad that someone feels that suicide is the option to take to escape it.
I don't know about that. If you KNOW your mind is going do you really want to hang around to see how bad it can get?

Cause of death has not been provided yet.

Does this mean it was suicide?

She did not specify where she died or the cause but said, “We lost our beautiful mother to the disease of mental illness.” Naomi Judd had lived for years on a farm in the hills above Franklin, Tenn., a suburb of Nashville. 23 hours ago

Still not saying how, though.

"Took her life" means emphatically "Suicide." Does the method of suicide really matter? She lost her battle with mental illness. It's sad. Who cares how she did it, only that she did it?

It looks like she had been fighting depression most of her life and finally gave into the only way she saw out of it. The fact she did it right before she was to be inducted into the Country Music HOF is significant. As many of the name celebrities seem to choose that point in which most of us would feel we have arrived.

She was being inducted and planning a tour and must have felt if that can break this curse, what can? Is this all there is?

Unfortunately, mental illness is not treated as a disease by the masses because unless they've felt it, can't understand what it is. And it seems to me that the more we make technological progress and move forward, the more we leave those fighting this behind.

Very sad for her daughters and family as they can't escape the feeling they could have done something. On the other side of that is the fact she lived with this her whole life and lasted until she was 76. Some things in life have a rather convoluted way of being grateful.

Apparent suicide according to the family.

Sad. Very sad.

Here's someone who had it all (how often have we seen this sort of thing?)...

-Fame
-Fortune
-Looks

And none of that mattered.

Happens more often than you think.

Maybe not to the degree of suicide but an unhappy life nonetheless.
