This is a small school OT that has the same comparable as Tyron Smith out of college. Tyron Smith did 31 225lb reps on his Pro Day and 29 reps at the combine. Waletzko being 3 inches taller shows impressive strength for his height and length with a 28 rep bench press.

The Jonesboys draft depends on this OT. Tyler Smith is not a LT and never will be. But Waletzko is all LT and LT only.

This is a very non Will McClay pick as he like Big players from Big Schools. So their maybe a change in philosophy in the Personnel Dept.

It's okay to be excited for both players, or either player.

But unnecessary to attack one to raise the other.

Besides, you're dead wrong.

Otherwise Waletzko would have been taken with our 1st pick and Smith taken with our 5th.

You can be enthusiastic without being silly.

Sounds like a good pick with potential. Should get a look at him in PS.
Wouldnt it be cool if they let us know who all wanted each pick!

I dont think jones boys care about the lower picks, so they let coaches do the picking.

The taller you are, the harder it is to maintain your center of gravity and pass rushers can get up under your pads easier.
It's not just about size but skill.
I doubt he's even in Tyron Smith's league. But, hey, I'll give him the benefit of the doubt. We'll see how he fares in camp.

If he learns to get those hands on the defender first, they ain't getting within 3 feet of him.

I may be wrong about Arlington Jonesboys football. But, No, I am never wrong about Dallas Cowboys football. Drew Pearson was an undrafted free agent. So what is you point about a 4th/5th rounder out playing a 1st rounder. I guess you never heard about 4 Irishmen and a Scott. All of them out performed hire drafted OL and went to 2 Super Bowls and 5 NFC Championship games.

Look at the numbers. One player is built for inside OG and the other is built for outside LT. McGovern play against Tampa and during the season showed OG was not as important to the OL as C and then LT. Therefore the draft depends on the Jonesboys finding a LT (Tyron is always hurt).

Easy fight. I'd punch his knees into oblivion while he swings over my head.
Take that, Jolly White Giant!

He is exactly 2 1/2 inches taller than Smith. Do you want Deion Sanders in 1995 versus Philly describe what is comparable to your 2 1/2 inches.

He is skilled and has very good knee bend. It is just he played at North Dakota...not even non FBS power North Dakota St. But the late great Rayfield Wright was a TE out of Elizabeth City and became a HOF RT. So the Wall has a chance.

Not sure why people are down on him because going to small school----yes Wright went to Fort Valley State, Newton to Florida A&M, Erik Williams to Central State, Larry Allen to Sonoma St... etc...and you have some who went to these major universities who have pooped the bed, you know who they are. Give the guy a chance.

You are right you do not speak Dallas Cowboys Football....OMAHA! Yea you just should have audible the response.

I figured you knew nothing about Rayfield Wright, Larry Allen, Erik Williams, Nate Newton, or Herb Scott.

When you look at the colleges they went to, let me know what you think of small school OL.

DeMarcus Ware came from a small school (Troy) also. Not an OL guy, but a great example of small school talent

Nate Newton likes him and says his technique is already pretty good and isn't as far away as people think. I'll take his experience and knowledge as a guide.
