This is my favorite pick. Great risk/reward player in round 5 with pro bowl upside. If his neck recovers from surgery, this could be an all-time cowboy draft steal.
That wonderlic tho...

He wanted to be a Packer.

He must hate that he's a Cowboy.

Now I understand why they didn't post his secret audio. They used Bland's call instead. He must have been dropping f bombs over Dallas drafting him.

Remember DaVonta Holloman, a 7th round pick in 2013. He looked to be a really good LB. Then he had neck injury. Ended his career.
But I think they determined he had what Michael Irvin had, narrowing of the spine. He decided to retire.
I know that is much different, but need to be aware of such things.

Supposedly this is what LVE had also, as to Clark, and it took LVE a while to get to playing better.
So a red shirt year for him for sure. This holding out hope he could play later in the season, is typical FO hype.

not the same that WR this year has that but not all of them are the type of MI ie genetic condition or whatever it was.. Clarks was simply a bulging disk and he didn't even realize he had it.the surgery was preemptive as it wasn't holding him back..a herniated /bulging disk is not the same as life threating genetic condition, this is more like what Dlaw and i belive Haley had this..atlhetes get this from just playing and working out.

you are lumping them all together and its not the same.

Not lumping them together, I even stated it is not the same. But it was the same or similar to LVE. It will just take a while. and a year on IR will be fine.

Mo Claiborne got a 6 if I recall.

There are some tree stumps in the NFL.

I wonder what some fans scores would be. :muttley:
Not pointing to you, or anyone. Just responding in general.

Someone made a post, about it being about common sense.
I wonder if there is a correlation to this test as opposed to one's IQ.

I know some very smart people with a higher IQ, but no common sense. And know some people with average IQ's or maybe a little lower, but have common sense and do better than the higher IQ people.

Doubt that is the case at all
Kids want to be in the NFL
Playing for your favorite team is cool but a player will leave his favorite team in a heartbeat for more money so it’s not that big a deal

I took one the other day. It is supposed to corelate to your IQ as this:

Wonderlic to IQ Conversion
Because the IQ and the Wonderlic are similar but separate tests there is no way to determine your Wonderlic score based on your IQ score, or vice versa. However, using a normal distribution bell curve it’s possible to make approximations. Below are IQ to Wonderlic conversions based on standard deviations of both tests.

  • 68 on IQ = 5 on Wonderlic
  • 85 on IQ = 14 on Wonderlic
  • 100 on IQ = 22 on Wonderlic
  • 115 on IQ = 29 on Wonderlic
  • 132 on IQ = 36 on Wonderlic
