Pretty uneventful player for the Cowboys only played three seasons with them. Not sure his retirement deserved a thread.

WOW Tough Room

Just being honest. Most fans probably don’t even remember him. I scratched my head when I first saw his name. He played with four different teams in his 9 year career. Not the caliber of player you would expect to see a thread dedicated to their retirement.

I remember his lack of eyebrows or at least it looked like he had none.

That’s the last response I expected. At least there was something about him you remembered. Lol

The league is full of the exact same player
Good enough to stay on a roster and get paid decent money
We remember the stars but guys like this are a big chunk of nfl players and many don’t make it as long as he did
And the fact people don't seem to realize this why some deem guys like Crawford as "trash" or worthless, as if players are only top tier or bottom level. Reality is the true stars are the minority, and the NFL has to have a lot of these average kind of players to function.

I will say, however, that the multi year contract he got several years back was a bit puzzling. He was certainly worth having, and a decent rotational player who could help out at both DT and DE, but it seemed excessive for what he had shown at the time.

Same with the other North American pro sports leagues.
In MLB, NHL, NBA - there are more lesser known players that carve out 10 - 15 - 20 year careers.
In the NHL, a good number are with one franchise for all or most of their time.
In MLB, some guys are with three or four teams .
The NBA has had many career journeymen....5 teams or more.
