I think they are 4th in the NFC at this point and consider the NFC the weaker conference from top to bottom.

This pole is bs b/c it has SF at #24 and Phoenix behind us........ both teams were clearly better than us last year and I don't see where we improved in the off season.

Phoenix doesn't exist but Arizona isn't certain Kyler will even play without a mega contract extension and De'Andre Hopkins is banned the first 6 games.

San Fran won 10 games last year then lost 5 starters in free agency and is moving on from its QB to go with a 2nd year guy.

This list is kinda trash but those 2 are not great examples of why.
Vegas over/under odds are far more realistic than this list.

Yeah, I believe assuming the replacements are automatically upgrades is very foolish and elementary thinking. We have no idea. They might be better, worse, or no difference at all. We won't know until they're on the field.

Then again, you have to take into account the posters that are saying these things, and realize that they don't think rationally when it comes to the Cowboys.

People do this every year.

Sometimes it works out. Sometimes it doesn't. I had zero issues with dumping Williams. But I am not sold that Smith just solved our LG problem. Hopefully he does. I was a big fan of drafting Cox where we did. But again, he played 9 snaps total on defense and is coming off a knee injury. We can't assume he upgrades the LB position. Again, I hope he does.

And clearly this Lewis Skolnick produced chart proves that thinking wrong.

Lol, watch and see. The only thing that will get them is the injury bug. They have a lot of outstanding talent and excellent coaching as well.
They are less talented this year than they were last year and they were one and done then.
Take off the blue and silver glasses.

So, you think all of that new talent that they are bringing in isn't talented at all? You might ought to wait until they play a few games. I think that all of you guys that are saying that they are less talented are a little off in your calculations.

But...so many in here have been saying this team got worse after this offseason's moves...and how this team sucks.

A power ranking in May doesn’t mean the Cowboys haven’t gotten worse or better. It’s just a ranking from one source. I find it amusing how some fans get caught up with these rankings. I’ve never taken them seriously. Power rankings change week to week during the season depending on how a team is playing.

Yall people paying attention to someones opinion on where teams rank. LOL
I can tell you this. The Cowboys are WAY to high on this list.

So we're supposed to pay attention to you thinking they are ranked way too high? But isn't that just someone's opinion on where teams rank?

Our Boys' are No. 6.....Bengals are way too low

How do the Niners end up in the 24th spot after going to the NFC Championship last year? At least the ESPN ratings has them at 9th, just under us.

These ratings are just fillers until these sports writer turds have real info to put on paper. I personally hate them and wish we were ranked somewhere between 28 and 32.

I think he’s saying right now until the draft picks actually prove they can play, you can’t say the team is as or more talented than last years.

Cowboys, Colts, and Browns are too high (also the Buccaneers/Packers a little but not by as much). Ravens, Broncos, Bengals, and Titans all too low and in the case of the first 3 far too low.

Why don't you take your own advice and "wait a few games" before you crown them better than who they are replacing like you've been doing?

I think the people saying they are less talented are just as foolish as the people saying they are more talented. Because we don't know until we see it on the field.
