How lucky are we to have Dan Quinn as DC?

I just watched the press conference with Quinn. How lucky are we to have this guy as DC? I’ll admit I’m not a huge fan of the way the Jones family runs this team, but props to Jerry for keeping Quinn here. I would go as far as to say he’s one of the best DC’s in the league. If nothing else, we’ll have a stout defense this year.

We are definitely blessed to have this dude on staff!
And props to Jerry for keeping him on board.

I like fans like you, you may not like Jerry, but you give him credit when he deserves it.
Too many let the dislike of a player or coach cloud their judgment, even when they do well.
I agree, Quinn is a great defensive mind and I'm glad we were able to keep him.

So glad Cowboys management forced the Mike Nolan firing and recruited Quinn and hired over to McCarthy's staff.

Otherwise McCarthy would've surely brought Nolan right back to into the fold the very next year.

You know how Jerry likes his shiny new coordinators. If Quinn has a good year and draws interest for a HC job, Jerry will promote him and can McCarthy. The only way that doesn’t happen is if Dallas is playing in the NFC championship game.

Just because I love him as DC doesn’t mean I want him as our HC. Now, Sean Payton as HC/OC and Quinn as DC, I’m all for that. :)

Anyone that don’t run a Nolan type defense was going to automatically be better than Nolan.

I thought they played hard in the WC game. The players just got punched in the mouth and lost the physical battle.

The intensity gets dialed up in the playoffs and I thought they looked very flat. They finally seemed to wake up in the second half when they finally force the 49ers first punt but it was too late.
