Q was great. Needs to play even more than the 26 plays he played.

They credited him with 2 tackles but he had 5 or 6.
He didn't collapse the pocket. He was not great.

You are so used to subpar play at NT you're thinking average is great.

The goat still has it and that fast release and quick decision making makes it tough on defenses. It's a wonder Micah got 2 sacks. It was only game one and really sucked that so many from coaches to players had a bad day all on the same day but things can only go up from here.
Brady was sacked 23 times last year, most in the NFL. Uh oh.

Remember when posters were claiming traffic cone was good? Spears, and he made no plays.

Yeah. Hell, I did my best to justify Marinelli's scheme after the season they were #1 against the run. Think that was when the Rams destroyed us in the playoffs. Slanting and attacking upfield wasn't awful with a thumper at the Mike, but there's no substitute for a stud NT who can control the interior.

Man, the NT simply has a monstrous effect on any D. Did any of you guys happen to watch the game last night? SEA absolutely does not win w/o big old Al Woods clogging up the middle, collapsing the pocket, and even making plays. He took away a huge dimension from the DEN O. Exactly how is this not simply blatantly obvious to everyone?

Until we get a quality NT, nothing we do on D will matter. Stop throwing late round picks at this unglorious by ultra important position and make it a priority.
K we've spoken about this on the old boards - like 10 years ago - it just aint happening, they just dont value the position.

And you add the free safety position to that as well.

How many pass plays was he in for? The answer is 6…most NT are NOT pass rushers.

Keep an eye on Bohanna. I think he will develop into a pretty good NT. The improvement he made over last year is enormous.

I was disappointed in Gallimore's play against the Bucs. I thought he would take a step forward but he was not really that effective. He was okay, but I was expecting more I guess.

Bohanna was resl good against the run when in their.

Gallimore was disappointing.

Y'all seen that guy woods (I thought it was antwan woods at first glance) on Seattle's defense? He fits that description of a space eating, gap clogging NT. Dude was throwing linemen and suffing the run up the middle last night. Not sure why the Jonses aren't interested in those types.....

Noah Ellis is that guy.

Need to sign and stash on IR however - waived by Eagles with NFI.

Out in Las Vegas at the East-West Shrine Bowl, Elliss was a constant in the opposing offense’s backfield during team drills, but where he shined most was in one-on-ones—the All-Big-Sky was unblockable throughout the week. While stymying a 350-pound athlete is a difficult task in and of itself, one that can move both vertically and laterally in the way that Elliss does has forced NFL teams to flip on his film during his days as a Vandal to truly identify how impactful a defender he could be on Sundays.
