Cowboys OT Tyler Smith: B

Dr. Strange ran through 14,000,605 scenarios after Tyron Smith’s injury, and only one of them had Tyler Smith allowing just one sack in his first two NFL starts at left tackle.
That first sentence had a lot of potential but he didn't stick the landing.

It should be "...only one of them had Tyler Smith committing zero holding penalties in his first two NFL starts at left tackle."

That’s that block^^^they say is really hard and he did it flawlessly. I love hearing stuff like that.

His footwork reminds me of a video with Mark Stepnoski showing perfect footwork and sealing ability.

That is the type of stuff you see Tyron Smith doing and only being able to do it because he is an elite athlete.

Fortuitous???

LOL

So many Tyler haters and doubters are experts on him now. HILARIOUS.

Giants have one of the most effective 3rd down defenses in NFL.

Placing Tyler in between Rimington Winner Biadasz and future HOFer Jason Peters will make the TEAM more efficient because the communication AND recognition will improve.

Skywalker Steele doesn't understand the responsibilities of every lineman, that's why he's wrong in what he's explaining in this video.

I think Tyler could be a really good LT in this league…but, I think he can be a perennial All-Pro LG.

That's exactly what i was hoping for. In the TC or even PS games, Tyler was trying to pancake every opponent. Now he plays within himself and blocks/screens off tacklers to allow positive yardage. Thus no holding. Now get Peters at LG and we got a power left running attack with Jake at TE. Zeke/Pollard in the I formation.

I know pretty much everyone hates philibin but does he get credit here for Tyler's development?

Philbin gave Tyler zero reps at LT in preseason and was saying McGovern was ahead of Tyler at LG as well.

Give the credit to Tyler and his teammates who helped him the week leading up to Tampa.

Yes, if we bash his coaching when we suck we have to give him credit when he develops a player. It's only fair. He's done a good job getting Tyler ready and developing him. Also no holding penalties on Tyler, which was a major concern on draft day. That also is a sign of good coaching.

Hit a nerve amirite?

Your poor takes will be exposed.
I can give ZERO flaks about your opinion, trust me.. what the team does is all that matters and guaranteed 73 keeps the LT position unless he gets hurt

It will be like a home game for Dallas anyways so communication shouldn't be a problem.
