I'm proud of this organization moving on this extremely important special teams issue immediately. I read how the Cowboys immediately brought in 4 long snappers for tryouts and settled on these 2. Long snapping the football whether for punts or FGs is so important. Any bad long snap can seriously cost the team points on the board, field position, possession and even the game. Hope 1 of these 2 fills in just fine for the injured Jake McQuaide without skipping a beat.

Never heard of either one, so hopefully they work out. Very important to keep the continuity.
I am sure there will be a lot of practice snaps this week, more so than usual.
Overton has 130+ starts. He has a pro bowl and was with Indy during the McAfee and Vinatieri days. He played 17 games just last season, so he is game day ready come Sunday.

Addington was the best long snapper in the USFL last season. Hes a little light at 230 and could use a year to get stronger

I can't imagine any team doing anything less, they all know that longsnaps are important (?)

I don't think Addington would be considered a veteran. He played in the USFL last spring, but I don't think he's played a down in the NFL.

I remember all the issues that year we cut Dale Hallestrae. Those were still the “Jerry Learning Years.” They handle this situation much better now. Hopefully.
