If Ravens wanted Pollard for a 3rd rounder

Say the Ravens call asking to trade for Tony Pollard.

They offer a 2023 3rd round draft pick and a 2024 5th round draft selection.

Would you accept or decline?

decline. pollard has had better production than zeke. Id rather get zeke off the payroll tbh

Decline. Would rather have him for 2022 and lose him in FA. The time to trade him was last year.

If Pollard leaves next year for a healthy contract, wouldn't we potentially get a draft pick anyway?

Pollard is not going to get us a 3rd round comp pick.
Everyone was all over Cedric Wilson on here, but yet he got us a 6th round comp pick. At best Pollard may get a 4th or 5th. I am still thinking a 6th.

So you take that trade for a 3rd.

However, if they think they are truly in serious contention to make a title run. As they do, but fans don't then you keep your talented players.
So from the team, they keep him.
From fans since they want to play GM, you trade him, if they truly believe we are not contenders this season.

I hear you, but disagree. Its not like you're just giving up a 3rd round pick to keep him. You'd also be giving up his services this year in addition to whatever comp pick he might net. So, while I totally understand what you're saying, I'd keep his services this year and any potential comp pick next year over just a 3rd rounder. That said, anytime you can trade guys away in their last contract year and get back every draft pick you spent on them, it's worth considering.

The main reason I said as the team they would keep them. Because supposedly they had offers on other players for a 2nd round pick, but the team said no. He was to vital for that current season…basically the we like our guys concept.

I agree I would consider that trade.

It would probably be a 6th. 5th max. Quinn signed for 14 million a year and got us a 4th

that is a high return for a guy who has used up almost all his cheap, efficient contract days.

Cowboys could then use Turpin a bit more in that slot area for the burst plays and go draft a RB next year in R3.

No. There is a more likely chance that that 3rd rounder doesn't produce like Pollard does.

It's not easy to find productive players in the draft and it becomes even less likely the deeper you go into the draft.
