Mine is Robert Francis Kennedy. He is one of, if not the, most overlooked figure in modern American history and a man who if not assassinated would have completely altered our path as a nation for the better. His impromptu speech upon learning of MLK's assassination is one of the greatest examples of great leadership in our countries history, riots breaking out across the nation and his speech prevents any from starting in Indianapolis.

My parents are great role models.

The man upstairs is my only idol.

Don't have an idol per say, but if I had to say one, I have two choices..
1. Charles Darwin
2. Jacques Cousteau

This is excluding my parents BTW.

I have no idols, but I have always looked up to Tom Landry a great deal, and tried to emulate him in all areas of my life.

I have nothing but respect for him, and have used him as an example to strive for.

When I list these characteristics of Tom Landry, they are also a checklist of what I have tried to be in my own life.

He was unashamedly a strong Christian man. He lived his faith, he walked his faith, .. his faith was apparent to those around him.

He was a wonderful husband and father.

He was very poised as a coach, always carrying himself with great composure, .. win or lose on or off the field.

He was a respected leader.

All of these I have tried to be also.

He was always considered an innovator in his sport, .. I could never pull that one off.

Thanks Coach Landry for a pattern of success.
