Babineux sounds less than flattering toward Witten in that clip. Love him or hate him? There isn't anything to hate....what a dope.

Basically said that Romo looks for him all the time, that is why he has so many catches.

That and even if Romo throws him a bad pass, if it's anywhere near him, he'll catch it. And how he uses his body to shield defenders. And doesn't need a lot of space to catch the ball in. And can read defenses very well. And how even when the defense knows the ball is going to him, he'll somehow get it. He's second only to Tony G. as far as TEs go. Just barely. Keep on catching them 82!!

Too low for him IMO. He had arguably the best season a TE has ever had last season. What can you expect though we have a glass ceiling in these lists.

He was good but didn't hit pay dirt enough. He just caught the ball a lot.

I think Gronk had the best season ever a couple years back.

Yeah I see your point, but now he is in the record books. I just would have slide him up ten more spots.

Top 30 player in my opinion. The guy basically moved the chains whenever Dallas needed a first down

Anybody catch the NFLN segment on Witten v. Gonzalez? Not very flattering take for our boy (though JW himself would probably agree with them about Tony G). Nobody mentioned that JW's still ahead of TG's reception and yardage pace at this point in their respective careers. They did give a tip of the hat to Wit for his blocking and for being an all-around TE, which was nice to see.

I don't see the video available yet, but I'm sure it'll find its way here once it is.

LoL @ the fact Witten is higher at #41 than Gonzalez @ #47 but people always talk about how much better Gonzalez is than Witten.

I dont see anything wrong with what Babineux said. This is the Dallas Cowboys, people either love or hate Witten.

it was a stupid statement. nobody has ever said a bad word about witten. in fact you will opposing fans say all the time "i hate the cowboys but that witten guy is a good dude." babineux is an idiot.

You younger guys take it from an "old" timer - enjoy watching Witten when you can. You are watching a future HOFer that happens to wear a Star.

He had a good season but I'd hold your horses on proclaiming his 2012 season the greatest ever by a TE... especially considering his 9.4 yard per reception and only 3 TDs.

Just look a year before an you see Gronk's 1327 yards receiving (14.7 per reception) and 17 TDs.

He's not criticizing Witten. He's saying that Romo targets Witten a lot, but in a complemtary way. Nothing wrong with what he said. Compare that to what Sapp said, that Witten didn't belong on the list because he was too slow, couldn't get open, and that "my daughter could cover him." That's just being ridiculous. But then, it's Sapp.

How dez came on towards the end of the year and having touchdowns in a large amount of consecutive games, I can't see him not being in the top 30 in this list. The list is still garbage though. I don't get who they ask.

I can guarantee Jason beats Sapp on the field catching anyday during his playing career back in the his heyday.
