Eagles Star On 24-Hour Supervision After Murder-Suicide Threats Alleged

(Classic Rock) Founding Eagles bassist Randy Meisner has been placed under 24-hour court-ordered supervision after he allegedly threatening to kill himself and others. Meisner allegedly threatened murder-suicide with an AK-47 assault rifle and a pile of pills in January and will be under round-the-clock care for at least the next few weeks, the New York Daily News reports.

Los Angeles County Superior Court Judge David Cunningham appointed a temporary guardian to manage Meisner's drug prescriptions and health ahead of a follow-up hearing scheduled for September.

Rumor is he had problems with alcohol and could be bipolar.

I watched the Eagles documentary a while back which was rather lengthy but very interesting. I always viewed them as a down to earth clean cut band and they were anything but. Isnt Meisner the one that almost came to fisticuffs with another member after a altercation during a show? Hopefully they can suss this out because mental illness sucks.

That was Felder and Frey if memory serves. I also believe they didn't play together again for well over a decade after that specific show (again, "if" memory serves) :).
