I'm sure this is not news to many of you, but I was surprised when I showed up for my CAT scan recently and walked into a Dallas Cowboys shrine. There was autographed pictures, jerseys, balls, and Cowboys colors throughout. I told my wife, the Cowboys must own this, I know they like to name things "Blue Star" whatever, such as Blue Star Media. So I asked the girl at the front desk, and she confirmed that it is owned by the Cowboys (Jones'). She also told me that this is where they send the players when they need medical imaging. Apparently there's two of these facilities, one on site at Valley Ranch, but it's also open to the public, and then there's the one I went to in Flower Mound, which is a richer part of DFW where I suspect many players reside. Anyway, it was just my luck that I would be wearing my authentic Romo jersey on that day too, and all the pretty girls working there loved to talk Cowboys.

On a side note, there's no wonder the Jones' got into this racket, even with good insurance, it still cost me $400 out of pocket. The staff was really friendly and professional, exceptionally good even.

I don't know if they do it for everybody (they probably do), but before I left, they gave me a brand new navy colored Dallas Cowboys (text style) T-Shirt with a price tag of $22.00 on it, and also a really nice grey adjustable hat w/ a blue star and it had a price tag of $15.00. So not too bad, at least I got some Cowboys swag out of it... Then again, maybe there's a reason they can give away all this swag, for all I know, they could be charging double what a CAT scan should cost. It's all good though, I was going to meet my max out of pocket soon enough anyway.

Just felt like sharing that and seeing if anybody else has been there and what they thought of the place... God bless y'all...

I got an MRI at Blue Star Imaging in Flower Mound, Tx. a couple of years ago. They tried to get me sign over my rights to my insurance settlement if they couldn't collect on payment for the bill that was already approved by the insurance Company. LOL. I gave them an emphatic, and resounding, NO! and they did the MRI anyway. The Dr. came in and we politely exchanged smirks.

EDIT: Yes, the place was filled with authentic Dallas Cowboys memorabilia. Very classy place.
