Just picture another shrine to Jerry with an Omni Hotel attached to it.

I have not had time to check it out but I know there are some at the Frisco CVB....

The move up north makes sense. Frisco is a really nice area. The only thing I don't like is that they'll be sharing the indoor facility with the Frisco high schools. One of the great things about Valley Ranch was that it was strictly for the Cowboys and there is a mystique about that place b/c it is kinda inaccessible to the general public. I hope there is some separation between the practice area and the circus being built around it.

I'll need to get up to some practices.
Being a season ticket holder, I got emails about getting ViP memberships to the STAR. But think I'll decline. Lol.

You really haven't read much about the facility.

Dallas is selling memberships(already sold out) for seating that overlooks the practice fields, best viewing.

There will also be a 16 story hotel where you can get rooms with views, but not as close.

I'm sure there has to be some privacy, but it sounds like they want to make The Star a destination point, so it will be super fan friendly.

It will be a gigantic Fish Bowl

Since they are selling memberships dosen't that mean any scout from another team can view the practices?

I like the idea of this. Have it be apart of the experience of being a Dallas Cowboy for the players. Getting to practice in a great facility like that and of course getting to play in Jerry World. That combined with the legacy and tradition of our franchise make us a more attractive destination for free agents. Well... not for all free agents I guess (Eric Weddle). Oh man, still can't get over the mistake he made choosing Baltimore, as a city and a franchise, over Dallas. It's actually mind boggling.

Good point, but I'm sure during the season there will be a lot of closed practices. The public will get a glimpse of the fluff.

At least, I hope this is the plan lol

If Jimmy were still the coach, would he turn on the heaters during training camp at The Star?
