Tecmo Bowl was fun, but limited teams made it not as good as Tecmo Super Bowl. Bo was unstoppable. The Bears D and Lawrence Taylor were absolutely dominating. Jack Trudeau with the rainbow pass that left the screen for 5 minutes only to come back down 40 yds later.
I loved Tecmo Super Bowl. Dallas was freakin awesome. Barry Sanders, Warren Moon, Dan Marino, Steve Young, Jerry Rice, Deion Sanders, and Randall Cunningham were insane. I loved the NT dive sack.....Russell Maryland would have over 100 sacks a season for me. Aikman would lead all QBs in yds, tds, and completion %. Emmitt would lead in yds., tds., and pts. Irvin would lead in receptions, yds., and tds for WRs. Harper would be 2nd in receptions, yds., and tds. Novacek would lead all TEs, and be in the top 5 overall in receptions, yds,, and tds. Johnston would be in the top 10 in tds. I would score at will against the computer.
One thing I hated though. Near the end of the 4th, the computer would always find a way to force a turnover and their defender could not be tackled....all your offensive players would just bounce off of him, all the way to the end zone....allowing the computer to thwart the shutout. It was freakin annoying.
