..Trade Romo for 2018 Conditional 1

2017

I would resign Williams and draft a TE(Bama)!

What about defense?! The Colts drafted Dallas Clark when they needed defense. They kept drafting skill player in rd. One for Manning, we should do the same for Dak.

More than a D-End, we need LB and a corner better than B. Carr

We've got caught in the prisoner of the moment with the defense.

1. No matter if we find a end at 28, the games vs the Falcons and Packers are going to be shootouts. That's real.

2. We do have room to grow on the roster. Can Collins be better next season? #93 came along at the end of the season, can he provide a little more next season? Is Irving a tease or can he dominate more consistently? Can Lawrence be ready on day 1? Is Tapper any good at this level?

3. Sign a veteran rusher. #93 for the Cards.

Yes, about what I'm hoping for. It would be nice to do more but you can't do everything in one off season.

GOT TO GO
Mark Sanchez
Doug Free
Alfred Morris
Lance Dunbar
Brice Butler
Gavin Escobar
Lucky Whitehead
Tyrone Crawford (all he ever wanted was a big pay day)
Brandon Carr
Orlando Scandrick
Rolando McClain
Anthony Hitchens
JJ Wilcox
(Byron Jones has one more offseason to become an impact player or he should be cut mid season next year. He is a massive fail so far.)

I don't want any of these guys on this team. None of them have the fire or passion i want on this team.

Sad to see Ronald Leary go. But can't keep him.

RESIGN
Mo Claiborne (1 year deal)
Terrell McClain
Terrance Williams

SIGN
S Eric Berry
CB Dre Kirkpatrick
DE JPP

DRAFT (Trade Romo for at least a 2)
1. DT Maliek McDowell
2. TE Jake Butt
2. WR Juju Smith or Jon Ross
3. CB Cordrea Tankersley
4. Carl Lawson

Add Jaylon Smith to this and you have a significantly improved defense.

I have FA at DE, CB and SS.....bring em on

It is going to be interesting to see how the Cowboys approach FA considering Romo will be off the books for Dak's 3rd and 4th cost controlled seasons.

Without Romo, they only have $110m in commitments for 2018. That is a conservative cap space estimate of near $68m. The minimum they need to roll forward to sign their FA and draft picks is ~$15m but they can do what they want and still not need to frontload contracts.

Like you said the future is bright.....I would borrow a chunk from 2018-19 but not to go after the big game

I want a DE,CB, WR, SS but in the reasonable range, not the crazy or the cheapos

Or dead money is nowhere near the late aughts

Forgot.....2. And most importantly, can J. Smith be who you guys thought he was!

This is an offensive league. A great defense will sprout up from time to time, but they won't be the norm.

We now play in a league were QB complete 67+ % of their passes with ease and they throw under 7 or 8 interceptions per season. You stomp the bums and you out score and survive the good.

That's do-able ......I just think we can get major steals at RB and QB on Day 3

I also want to be the first or millionth to suggest trading back from 28 for multiple picks.....teams love jumping into the late 1st for QBs and we should take advantage

I really hope we don't, I think a pretty good DE will be on the board. Just too many for the well to dry up by 28.

Will Swaim be healthy this year? Seemed like Zeke had his best games running the ball when Swaim was in the lineup.

I keep hearing Patterson being floated around. I like it, but isnt Pryor a free agent also? Would be awesome to have him line up with Dez.

I would much rather have Church than Wilcox.

Irving plays way more DE than he does DT, no?

I'm in for a WDE, but those are nearly impossible to find, as we're seeing over the past few years. The playoff games against GB and Atl and then NE are always gonna be shootouts. We need WRs who don't drop the ball in the big games. I'm not sure how to find those.

Watching "the game" again (I know, I know) it was striking how unbelievable the Packer receivers are compared to ours. Just one or two drops wins/loses these games. Butler on the would have been TD is a catch that Packer receivers made throughout that game. And those were #3 and 4 receivers.

Dollar for Dollar I take Wilcox for about half the cost

Irving played a ton of 3T this year

But he will cost 3-4x more........ I want Patterson as a KR/WR4

Pryor has no history for the money he will get, 10m+

Again, if we cannot get the 3 defense top FAs.
A #1 WR is a good fall back.

Look at this year....... DEN and DAL wanted into the 1st badly for Lynch...... if we move back 5-10 spots and get an early third I would do it

Dodd and Ogbah didn't do much at 32 and 33 but Spence did OK...still about choosing the right guys
