I think Barry had some crazy record of never losing 3 games in a row his entire career

Barry won a Super Bowl and barring a crappy start and bad pic six by Troy and a bad no PI call on Deion he would have won two

He also went 6-10 with a team that included Troy Aikman, Emmitt Smith, Michael Irvin, Larry Allen, Erik Williams, and Deion Sanders.

Total and UTTER BS. He was a brutal cheater who let things get totally out of control at OU. Plus, other coaches recruited black players before he did. Most notably, Duffy Daugherty at Michigan State. Read and LEARN:

Not at the level that Barry did. And he grew up in black neighborhoods and was completely comfortable, which was a huge advantage.

As far as cheating, every major college that wins.....cheats. Period.

College football is the dirtiest sport in the world by a huge margin.

I like Barry, look wasn't his fault he was brought into this situation. But honestly he was a classy funny guy and he did things his way. He was a great college coach and I don't recall anyone complaining about him. He was always a players coach even when Troy didn't like him. He recruited AA players and helped many other players overcome adversity.

I'll never understand the hate for one of the good guys in football. He did not break the Jerry/Jimmy days up. That was all on them.

Hopefully they aren't related for Ryan's sake. Those are some poor genes I wouldn't want running through my veins. Scumbag genes.
Ironic as the picture in your avatar looks like Ric Flair a very well known and documented scumbag too

He got brought into a bad situation, and still won a Super Bowl. No hate on him. He was in a damned if you do, damned is you don't situation. He won, and Im' grateful we got one against the Stillers.

Barry Switzer is absolute greatness.

First coach to really actively and aggressively recruit black players, by the way.

Yeah... About this statement on recruiting black players. Eddie Robinson called. He asks that you stop making this claim.

Yeah, if you are saying he was the first period, yeah. Heck, lots of guys were recruiting Black players way earlier. John McKay at USC rolled over Bama in Birmingham in 1970, with black players.

I'm a very distant relative of Jesse James on my moms side, my dad I guess who wasn't impressed by it would say we're all related somehow.ha
I would add my connected link of outlawlessness but better not,,, I will say my dad took me to that Will Rodgers Museum once when I was a kid and stood me in front of a life sized bronze statue of her and with a hand on my shoulder said " I want you to have a look at one of your ancestors"
