Yeah I don't get that but maybe the plan has been to activate Rico from hiding all along. To have a bye week and 2 spots open up with Pea/Carrol and not do anything does seem very strange. Maybe it was just one spot--did they use one with the LB with 3 last names?

Can't be activated until week 9.
Clearly we have an open spot as a reward for a practice squad player. Will likely give it to the most deserving one at week's end - we've done this several times before

So just one spot open through the bye week. Still strange with the extra week you would think someone could have been brought up or in to get some practice reps. I go back to Rico...maybe they are saving this spot on the roster for him. To fill the 53 man active roster I would think this would have to be announced very soon. Thanks for the clarification!

They may be waiting to see how he does. Whoever they sign or activate from the PS at this point of the week would most likely be inactive anyway. So this open roster spot not a big deal. Unless they can get an impact player right away, they can wait to see if they want to activate rico or not.
