I'm attending a conference in a few weeks (Mon-Thurs) in Dallas. It's been a long time since I visited and I was curious if anyone had restaurant or other recommendations assuming that I only have a few hours of free time. I'm staying at the Hotel ZaZa and will likely be walking most of the time. Outside of big $$$$ restaurants, anything in that area under the radar good?

Take an Uber over to Bishop Arts District, there are a ton of great places over there.

Bolsa, Lucias, Veracruz, Smoke, Nova and who knows how many new places have opened since I was there last

Mia's brisket tacos...Tom Landry's favorite, and the site where Jerry took Jimmy when he first bought the team that started all the hate. Pretty dang good brisket, too.

Have fun, Dallas is a great town. I usually wind up on West End somewhere. You've probably been since I have.

The Flying Fish has good and affordable seafood in that area, or hit up Rodeo Goat for unique burgers and beers...

Meddlesome moth if you want to try some rare beers.

Underrated Beer place. A lot of places around here now are so dead set on filling their taps with local beers; a lot of which are just seasonal novelties or syrupy crap.

Meddlesome usually pulls in highly rated and limited edition stuff.

They don't really serve bad beer.
